Cleaning with depression
The thing I struggle with most with my depression is keeping my house clean does anyone have any tips or advice for me? Something that has worked for you?

Sometimes if I put on music that I like it helps while I'm cleaning. That way I can enjoy the music and don't have to think so much about the cleaning while I'm doing it. Or maybe the TV or a podcast, just something you enjoy so it can distract you a little bit.
@crimsonSpruce612 thank you for your input I'm going to take everything everyone says and try one each day and see what helps me the most I hope by the end of the week to have my small appartment clean

Great, good luck. I know it can be hard to get things done when your feeling depressed. Believe me, I understand. We're here to support you.
Hi @Cupcak3ki113r,
This is an important thread, since taking care of oneself is quite an issue for many people with depression, let alone caking care of cleaning.
I find one tip useful: setting up an alarm/countdown for 15 or 20 mins (whatever is ok for you) and then cleaning as much as possible in this time. I doesn't have to be hectic vaccuuming around the house, it can even be one room or the dishes, etc.
Also, whenever I my mood slighlty improves, I just try and make use of it by doing groceries, cleaning, etc.
I hope this helps, take care!
Music or TV helps me a lot. I often don't have energy to do the laundry, but if I was a good serie while I'm doing it, I can overcome a lot more, than if I didn't. Especially folding clothes is difficult for me, if I don't have energy, but again a good serie helps me through it. Gives me something else to think about :)
