Best website to ((attempt)) to make online friends?
In short: I'm looking for a recommendation of social media or just any website where I can meet people who could possibly become my online friends.
I'm 19, I lack social skills and have very few interests. And if that wasn't enough to make it nearly imposible for me to find friends I'm also depressed most of the time, living in a forigen country I don't speak the main language of and probably LGBT+ as well. So yeah social interactions are scared for me and even finding some online is nearly imposible. I need recommendations for websites if you know any.
Thank you!
@Djeidi
Hey! I can't say that I'm an excellent person for this sort of info, but prismchat is an lgbtq+ community space, tumblr is good I hear, you can make a bunch of friends on instagram as well. If you're interestedi in writing then I'd highly recommend the nanowrimo wesbite (though it's best if you start a writing project as well haha) I met one of my best friends through that website so it's excellent. I hope that you make some friends!
@Djeidi hi, I am sorry you are going through this, bumble is a helpful app to make friends, i hope you find people who deserve your company :)
@Djeidi
hey I am a lot older than you but I am up for writing to each other if you like x

Regarding finding friends and people to interact with during COVID-19 restrictions, here are some ideas that worked for me.
1) Find friends on line by attending regularly scheduled Zoom sessions on topics that you are interested in. Then you will meet people that you can interact with virtually and feel connected. You can search the web for such Zoom sessions. FOR EXAMPLE you could try eventbrite.com to find free Zoom events. Or you could attend sessions that charge also.
FOR EXAMPLE here's a free ZOOM session host on eventbrite.com that does Zumba exercise sessions regularly. They also have chats when done. https://www.eventbrite.com/o/claire-dempster-29366358561
2) Join on-line communities and interact actively on topics you are interested in.That will also give a feeling of connectedness.
3) Find YouTube channels that you are interested in that do LIVE broadcasting on a regular basis. You can join in when they go-live by participating in the text chat. You can text chat with others who are also watching the broadcast. That can give a nice feeling of connectedness and events to look forward to.
4) You could improve your friendship skills here by watching these fun podcasts.
