Sometimes wanting something new requires trying something new. Perhaps try a new hobby that you never tried or explore something you never considered? It's a hard place to be in stuck as your mind will prefer to be in that same spot.

I think you start slow and keep your eyes open for things that make you feel even a little better. Are you eating, drinking and sleeping okay?@CPO2000

I am so sorry. Then finding better sleep is a good starting point. Without that it is hard to start any other kinds of healing.

What kinds of things do you to help rest better? Less computer near bedtime? Some scented candles for a bit, medication or something herbal, a weighted blanket? There are lots of things that can help.@CPO2000

Not necessarily. I know that resetting that brain clock can be really hard without a plan of attack. It is also really frustrating and weighs you down. For me, it wasn't until I had some minimal sleep meds that I could do anything to solve what was happening with my brain during the day. Know that you are doing your best by trying. @CPO2000

Keeping in mind these things might be a good start

-What your used to doesn't necessarily have to be all you are

-What you know isn't all there IS. If all you know is sadness and feeling numb, be on the look out for something knew to know/be
