Hi there CherryBlossoms246!

So sorry you are feeling bad, I wonder if the talk you had with the group triggered something and now you feel that way 😔

I think we don't have to follow people's projects and goals, we can have our personal way and time to eventually look at something engaging to do.

If it's not now your moment, you have the right to not feel in line with them.

Basic self care can sometimes be already challenging and difficult, what about to prioritize your basic needs now? Everything else can be seen later on.

Don't worry, we are glad to have you here also if it's a bad moment, feel free to express yourself and your feelings Cherry 💜

Thank you ❤️❤️❤️ I think it was mostly that I have a very logical career/life plan based on doing things I love, but emotionally I don’t feel passionate about it. I know that, logically, these things interest me and would be the best lifestyle based on my moods/habits, but I feel like I’m lying when I tell people I plan to get this degree, connect with this group, etc. because I don’t feel like I have any intention of doing that.

I have also lost my passion. Nothing seems meaningful or worth doing anymore.

Hi @CherryBlossoms246, @slowdecline48 and @Gettingbettertoday

I´m very sorry to hear about your situation, I hope you can find some light to help you keep going, there is always a sunrise after a dark night.

About the OP issue, don´t punish yourself if you feel without a compass in your professional life, sometimes life is not a mathematical expression that always work accurately, sometimes life demand us to go in freestyle mode navigating its seas without a fixed destiny.

Please don´t feel pressured to answer people about your future goals or career intentions, entering in such conversations may affect you more so maybe avoiding the subject could be a good idea to help you keep going until you may find some new route to keep going.

Please not stop trying to find your way on this world, each human being have some unique magic waiting to be shared with the world, stop and take a rest if you need, but the world needs you to make this a better place.

I think a lot of us have no idea what we feel passion for, career-wise, when we are still learning about what interests us. Especially for those in college, it is a time for exploration to see what creates that spark in us, that could start a fire, a passion for learning that field, and enjoy the career opportunities that follow after graduating. During this exploration, we often doubt our decisions, lose motivation, and direction; wondering if we're heading towards the light, or digging in deeper into the ground. The important thing here is, to not give up, even when it seems like a dead-end. We need to find ways around the obstacle, even if it means we need to take a few steps back. Then, once we find that passion, we stand firm.

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling down. It's okay to have moments of uncertainty and lack of motivation. Remember that it's normal to feel this way sometimes. Take a deep breath, focus on small steps, and give yourself time. You're not alone, and things will get better.

I'm sorry you feel so unmotivated. Motivation is really hard to find once you feel like you lose it, and I definitely understand the depression you feel, combined with the lack of motivation. But even if you don't feel interested in having a career or life, you do deserve one, and it may even help you not feel so depressed. Do you think the group activity made you feel worse about it? I know from my experience, sometimes hearing about everyone else having their lives and careers all planned out can make me feel really down. I hope you feel more motivated soon and feel better.

Hello, I am sorry you feel this way about your job. Job can often be stressful, mostly if you do not have much interest in it. It is totally normal to feel down, but it will be okay. It gets better.
