Disclaimer: These are my own personal tips therefore they might be contradictory to yours.

1. Be active - research has shown some form of exercise helps to life your mood. This doesnt have to be working out! It can be as simple as going for a walk or doing yoga.

2. Stay in touch with loved ones - you may think nobody understands how you're feeling hence get this urge to shut everyone out. But whatever you do, please don't do that. Instead, spend more time with family and friends as this will lift your mood up. Having them around means you get to talk to someone when you feel down and it keeps the negative thoughts away.

3. Have a healthy diet - depressed people often eat too much food or not enough food. Make sure to keep it balanced.

4. 7-8 hours sleep

This is my first thread on here so hopefully its good enough.

I hope this helps someone out smiley Thank you for reading this. Have a good day!

Thank you for sharing these tips! I'm glad you've found so many great things that work for you. I've also found that for me, staying busy helps. Having things to be proud of helps my self esteem. I think it's also helpful to keep a gratitude journal. It's easier for me to be happy when I can identify things yo b greatful for. :)

@loveyourself90

Those are great tips! One other suggestion I have would be to try journaling, it can be very helpful in dealing with your emotions.
