Also, reading and watching films help me to be creative and think creatively
Listening to music while writing, drawing, or cooking
Music ,playing games and talking to my boyfriend
I started using these two techniques I read in a book to distance myself from my negative thoughts. The first one is to sing my negative thoughts with the melody of happy Birthday or jingle bells. It actually helped me a lot. Sometimes it even made me laugh. Also when I'm having a negative thought I have become aware that it is a thought so I started saying to myself "I am having the thought that... " instead of just the thought. As soon as I use this technique the thought does not hurt me much.
