I find it counter intuitive to ask of best moments from depressed persons...
That is what I do not understand about depression community staff asking us what are our plans, how do we self care and what made us happy this week?
Depressed persons do not have plans or happy moments or self care...that's why it is called "depression"...
I can never understand this incompatibility in the depression comunity...
I can understand why it feels counterintuitive. Finding moments of happiness or self care for depressed people are really really hard. All you see is darkness. But if we don't see the mini stars then there is no way out of the depression. Yes depression is mental illness that you never completely escape. But that doesn't mean that moments of happiness or self care are gone forever. That is why it is helpful to be on the lookout for them. @Oase

I was able to finish reading a book that Ive been wanting to read for so long! Its a really lengthy book (~90 chapters lol, its a Chinese webnovel though so its no surprise xD), so Im glad I could finish it - and in only a week!!

Do I have to prove to my family that I am really sick?how do I do that?my mom goes to the psychiatrist with me and know I take medication and even so after we come back from the doctor she tells me what a waste of money it is and that I have everything in my life much more than my siblings or her ever had.I know all that but I still feel like this.
That is definitely a tough one. Have you thought about asking her to do family therapy with you? Then you could discuss how her dismissal of your pain makes you feel. @yellowJet4054
So, I lost a lot of motivation to keep on doing art homework for my art class somewhere about three weeks in. Art just really scares me. Like I cry if someone askd me to draw something and I don't think it's perfect and that's why I decided to take the art class because it's a really irrational fear. However, my art teacher maybe sensed this and has been really lenient with me on turning stuff in. Fast forward to March 16 when we got out because of tge corornavirus and I had still only really turned in 2 things for the entire semester. Somehow, I had a 92. Still, we were expected to keep on working on our projects for the unexpected break but I never did and he never, not once, gave me crap about it which I more than deserved. Even when he saw me after that, he was all-smiles. I don't think I've ever been so grateful to a teacher for not judging me with zero context on what was going on or why I wasn't actively participating in class. Exceptionally nice of him.
Also, my birthday was in early February and I had made friends with a girl in November and I absolutely was not expecting her to buy me a gift but she did and it still brings a smile to my face when I think about it. Especially since I wasn't expecting a gift from family members but I got one from a loose friend.
