I'm feeling really sad about Mama's passing today. Lots of crying and my heart racing. I wish I didn't have so much to do this week so I could just lay down and take a break. I feel bad that I couldn't afford a memorial service for my mom. Just the cremation, which was her wish. My Aunt who came with me to view Mama at the funeral home yesterday said she would talk to the rest of the family and see about coming up with the money to have one. Still...I would feel bad that I couldn't come up with the money.

@bestVase7265 how was your day?

P.S. My daughter made banana bread that she didn't like in her kids baking class today and she was complaining that the class is boring. It's so hard to please her. I tried to sign her up for something fun for the summer and I guess it isn't good enough. She said no to soccer and other suggestions.

Yes, it is easy to give the wrong advice to students. I had a student today that I struggled with a bit because of that one meeting that I missed last week when I was sick. The pre-med, pre-vet students are the toughest to mentor for me.

I am glad that you are going to get to go to the Butterfly House. That sounds lovely. GPS will help you find it. I don't like traffic much either but it is easier to navigate than it used to be. Take it a step at a time with the weight loss management people. You will find your way through that slowly but surely.

My day was a normal, crazy August class day. I had tons of meetings and testing to manage, but I survived okay. I did forget my phone and have to drive back to work for it.

I'm glad you survived the day. I too survived the day. It wasn't hectic like yours, but boring as heck and my daughter was having a hard time letting the nurses talk to me at my 1 hour and 40 minute Comprehensive Weight Management appointment. After the boring appointment we found the butterfly house and aquarium a few miles away from where we were. It was easy. We enjoyed it. I took pics and video and shared them on my *** for my eldest daughter and stepsister to see. I just took a shower and finally washed my greasy hair. It was hard to wash with one hand, but I managed. And now I'm relaxing after the long drive and happenings of the day.

Did you make it through the day ok?

Boring? That sounds like a beautifully exciting day to me. I am so glad that you got to go to the butterfly house and aquarium. I love to go to places like that. And it was good that the weight management people got to see some of the challenges that you face on a daily basis. That impacts your ability to slowly lose weight and if they understand that then they can be more empathetic.

I bet the shower felt good even though it was hard to get to your hair.

Lots more meetings for me today, but I did get to go to a nice get together with a former student this evening.

That's so nice that you were able to see your former student. And I just meant the drive and weight management appointment were boring. The butterfly house and aquarium were fun. I have 3 more Weight Management appointments. It's basically to educate me on how to eat after the surgery and diet stuff. I think it could be summed up in half an hour, but I shall do what I have to do to get the surgery.

Today we met our new church friend at the farmer's market and then she brought Jasmine home to see her cat after they shopped while I went to confession. She gave my daughter a frog stuffed animal and some prayer cards for me. She's such a nice lady. Jasmine really enjoyed her company. We'll see her and her family at church tomorrow. We got up at 7 today. Maybe the transition to waking up for school won't be so hard if we continue to get up early now.

I can't wait for school to start. I'm so bored in my life.

bestVase7265 August 20th, 2023

School is coming. You are doing some great things in the meantime which will make the time pass. You are also even more prepped for the school start time.

It is great that you are connecting with people at church and that your daughter is starting to feel a little more comfortable. Be proud of the things that you are doing.

You can try some new stuff over the next few weeks too. What about a new show to watch or a new card game to play together? Or you could go to the library and pick up a book.

I spent most of my day working, but we did have a nice dinner with family tonight. What kinds of things have you been eating and cooking lately. We had a nice watermelon blueberry salad with biscuits a few days ago.@SweetPea321

Last night I took Jasmine to Applebee's because she remembered when we went there before to try ribs and said she wanted the boneless chicken wings next time. We had leftovers so that's what we're having tonight. We've been having blueberry muffins, bananas, atkins dinners, sandwiches, apple slices, and dinner has been alot of fast foods. Dinner is the hardest.

Today we went to church and our friend Karen invited us to sit by her family. Jasmine was loud and unruly, but we made it through. Her daughter brought a sketch pad with colored pencils and we brought our sketch pad too. Jasmine cried because she wanted to go to Karen's house again, but I told her it's not polite to invite ourselves over on the spot. Karen said we'll make a plan.

So excited for tomorrow, the first day of class. The only thing I have to do this week is go in for lab work. I actually have no appointments for myself or my daughter. Can't believe it!

So how was your Sunday?

bestVase7265 August 21st, 2023

You are starting tomorrow, oh that is excellent. That will make the time until your daughter starts school pass even faster.

Please let me know how the classes or going.

Leftover chicken isn't a horrible dinner choice. I know dinner is the hardest. It is when we are most tired. Having a general plan really helps me because I can force myself to do it.

I was at a friend's house tonight to celebrate her husband writing a book about Italy. It was a "scarpetta" party. Scarpetta means "heel" in Italian. So she basically had made a number of different kinds of tomato sauces. Then we had bread (or heels of bread) to dip into the tomato sauce. So it was fairly healthy since it was just tomato sauce and bread (with a little Parmesan to sprinkle on top). That is something that would be fairly easy for you to do. You just heat up some tomato sauce and then have a nice loaf of bread (the bakery kind, a whole loaf like a baguette- even frozen would work) for dipping into the hot tomato sauce. @SweetPea321

That sounds interesting, Scarpetta party. Tonight we're having a microwave spaghetti, which is really sad because my homemade spaghetti is good. Of course she doesn't like my homemade spaghetti πŸ˜₯ Today I started my Pharmacy Technician class. At first when I was trying to read my daughter was being loud and I couldn't concentrate, but later I took her to the pool and read chapter 1. I just watched the lecture video and completed the first quiz. I'm gonna try to work ahead with the chapters because there are some assignments that I'm a little intimidated by and will need more time. I'm still excited to be doing something for myself.

We're in a heat advisory. I made an appointment for an oil change on Wednesday, but we'll be trying to stay out of the heat this week.

Remember that your daughter not liking a dish doesn't mean that you should not make it. Kids missing meals occasionally is perfectly healthy. When they get hungry, they will eat even things that they think they don't like. Homemade spaghetti is a healthier option that she can adapt to. We had smashed avocado and peas with tomato on toasted bread tonight. It was good and very easy.

I am so glad that your first day of the course went well. Now you can just take it a step at a time.

Today was very messy and stressful for me. I had tons of student meetings as we get ready for course registration on Wednesday. They just announced that they are going to rearrange everything in terms of how kids register which will make things more stressful. Then my parents' situation worsened again and I have been trying to squeeze in dealing with all of that during the work day.

It's hard to work outside of the home and manage a family household too. Today's woman seems to do it all and then some. You must be doing a fantastic job with all that you do, Vase, and you find time to help those who are struggling; students, family members, people on 7cups. I'm hoping things will get easier after registration at the job. How are your parents? Are they fluctuating between good and bad days? I had a good cry a couple days ago thinking about my parents. I miss them too much.

It's currently 100 degrees in Minnesota. I took my daughter out for an ice cream this afternoon and tonight we're having some homemade burgers with baked beans.

I definitely have lots of balls up in the air and today was pretty exhausting because I didn't sleep last night. I had so little energy for teaching today and my students were overly exhausted as well. But we made it through. My parents' situation calmed down considerably which helped. I am sure that you do mourn your own parents regularly. You lost them both so soon after one another.

We weren't at 100 degrees today but we definitely hit 94 again. We have been at that temperature for weeks with little rain. It is a weird summer.

We will see how course registration goes tomorrow and Thursday. I am hoping not to get pulled into too many issues when students don't get the courses that they want.

Some nice burgers and baked beans sound good. Have you ever tried turkey burgers? They are also pretty good. We had a stuffed chicken, broccoli, and cheese bread that my friend gave me after the party on Sunday. It was nice to not have to really cook tonight. @SweetPea321

I've never had turkey burgers or turkey bacon before. Sounds kinda odd, but maybe it's good. Today I spent a bit of time on an assignment for my class and got an oil change for my car. Nothing too exciting. This whole week will be relaxed, which is fine with me. Soon enough school will start for my kiddo and I'll have quiet time to myself to study and relax. I look forward to going shopping by myself and just being by myself.

My stepmom called today and said she has COVID. So far she's not having any breathing problems, but she's tired. I feel sorry for her as she's elder and by herself now. She has alot of people in her life to check on her though. I'll call her after awhile to see how she's doing.

I hope you got some better sleep last night. How was the work day today?

bestVase7265 August 24th, 2023

A relaxed week is good. I could really use one (or even a day would be nice). But my students made it through the first day of course registration with no hitches. So that was much less stressful. We will see how tomorrow goes.

Turkey burgers are good. I also like turkey bacon (but that one feels more fake to me). Tonight I attempted to make smash burgers (kind of a Big Mac tortilla thing). It was a bit of a disaster. It tasted good, but it was much harder to make than I thought it would be and I don't think the calories and fat were worth it. But lesson learned. Not all cooking turns out.

Sorry to hear about your step mother. It is hard being far away when older people are sick. You worry when you can't be there to offer support. That is how my last few weeks have felt with my own parents. @SweetPea321

Well, today we went for a milk run (Wow! lol). And we ran into one of Jasmine's paras form the school so that was nice. Spent the rest of the day playing games and reading my textbook. Tomorrow I'll take my daughter swimming and pay bills because it's my payday. I'm really enjoying this laid back week. Soon enough I'll be scurrying to wake up early and get her to school. Ugh, hopefully this year is better. I got my cortisone shot in my shoulder on the 15th and so far isn't helping. Must be something else bothering my arm besides the arthritis. You sound quite relaxed. That is good. It was great that you ran into someone from school. I bet that it is going to go better. Great job keeping up with the studying so far.

Overall my day was okay. My students survived the second day of course registration with only a few bobbles. This meant that I didn't have to be on campus quite as long.

I am still feeling pretty off physically because I am pretty tired with a sore throat from all the talking. Hopefully that will start to ease up tomorrow. I had some leftover vegetable rice for dinner. It turned out really well so it was nice to eat it again. How is your menu going?

SweetPea321 OP August 25th, 2023

My menu isn't as interesting as yours. We have simple meals. I'm making boneless chicken wings and green beans for my daughter tonight and we'll share a banana afterward. I'm not feeling so great. I feel exhausted after being at the pool. It's so humid sitting there for an hour. I haven't been going in because I don't wanna struggle to get undressed and dressed with my sore arm when I'm heavy with water. My first physical therapy appointment for my shoulder/arm is this Monday. I wonder what exercises they'll expect me to do as it hurts so much. Anyway...how was your Friday? Do you get to relax for the weekend now?

I'm feeling a little down tonight. Feeling alone. Need someone to talk to, but don't wanna reach out first. I miss my parents checking on me.

bestVase7265 August 26th, 2023

Reach out first. It doesn't make a difference who does the reaching. Your depression brain will tell you otherwise, but family really does want to know and care. Even if you just talk about mundane, basic stuff it helps. Call or text with your step mom to see how things are with her COVID. She will appreciate it. Or call your daughter and see how her summer is going. Do it in terms of you checking on them. You are going to miss your parents, but creating newer networks is really important.

I am sorry that getting in the water is painful. You did good to get out at all. I bet that the physical therapy will help. Give it some time. But I know it is hard and tiring.

Here is my summer banana tip for the day: see if they carry "Banana Babies" in the popsicle section of your food store. They are frozen bananas covered in a thin layer of dark chocolate. Because it is dark chocolate it is actually healthier. If you have some popsicle sticks you can also make your own really easily by taking half a banana, putting it on a stick, dipping in melted dark chocolate (not milk chocolate) putting it on some waxed or parchment paper and freezing it for a few hours.

You are doing good with the chicken! We had a mango salad tonight topped with some salmon, but I know that you said that you don't like fish. @SweetPea321

How are you this Sunday? I've been awake since 4. I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep, so I decided we would go to the early mass. Father Tony was not there, but a different priest in his place. Father Tony is suffering from cancer and currently going through chemotherapy. I suppose he was too ill today. I really like him. His stories are funny and interesting. I've been watching him on YouTube for awhile before we went to the church in person and my mom used to watch the church's mass on tv. I found a nice, religious get well card and put some money in it for him. I didn't sign it, but placed it in the collection basket with his name on it when it was passed around. I hope it brightens up his day when he opens it. We also saw one of Jasmine's old paras that she loved so that was fun.

Tonight we'll have leftovers and I can't wait to go to bed!

I will try to be back on tomorrow night.

Thank God you won't take a direct hit. I wonder how purpletree is doing? Have you heard from her?

Today I had PT for my shoulder and my physical therapist was a handsome man, so that made made me slightly nervous, haha. Then I napped. That was my day. Now I'm playing games with my daughter. Our YMCA will be closed for maintenance until Friday so we'll have a boring week. I'm up to chapter 6 in my class and I'll be taking my time with this chapter because it's calculations and conversions. I'm not so good at math. If anything will trip me up with the course it'll be the math.

So how are you tonight?

A fantastic video of a lady playing the Hungarian Rhapsody 2. One of my favorites.

bestVase7265 August 29th, 2023

Purpletree moved to Alabama so I think that she should be okay. We should also be okay unless we lose power.

However, the prep is extremely stressful. Last night I had what I think was a panic attack where I became extremely dizzy quite suddenly. It had never happened before so it was really weird.

Tonight we have entered what I like to call "wait to be attacked by a giant, slow moving turtle for several days" stage. The big stuff won't hit until tomorrow night.

And we are now up to six people, two cats, and a bunny rabbit in our small house. This is another reason losing power would not be fun. I also have to teach tomorrow for an hour online and have an online meeting for an hour. But we will deal because there aren't other options.

Sorry to hear that the pool is closed this week. But playing games can work. Keep working at the classes. You are doing great.@SweetPea321

SweetPea321 OP August 29th, 2023

I hope you don't lose power. That would be terrible. Food going to waste. Sitting around in the dark. I just went grocery shopping today. Well I ordered the groceries and picked them up as usual. I'm not sure what to have tonight yet. Still thinking about it. Right now I'm enjoying some quiet time. I had my daughter shut the game off and the tv is off. She was driving me crazy with her nonstop talking lol, but that's been the only time this summer so not too bad. 8 more days and I'll start getting my breaks from her. I figured out how to use the cash app and sent my eldest $150 just for the heck of it. She was so grateful. She said she really needed it. She's such a good girl. Working and doing good in school. I can't wait to see her sometime again.

We are doing fine. No damage wind or water and we never lost power. This one was easier than last year. There was quite a bit of water damage elsewhere though, so things will only slowly get back to normal tomorrow.

I know the 5th feels like too far away but it will come sooner than you think. Doing just one different thing like maybe going to the library to pick out a book or going to a park to let your daughter run around might make the time pass a little faster.

We had a healthy, easy dinner tonight: tuna, artichoke hearts and olive pesto panini. Normally not exactly something that I would like, but they worked out okay. I was lucky that this week I planned a healthier menu because my son's friends who came to stay with us during the hurricane are quite healthy eaters and work out all the time. They will leave on Friday when the college reopens.

It's always nice to get the house back after the guests leave. Although my only overnight guest these days is my daughter and I love having her visit. I didn't feel well earlier. I just took a multivitamin with my dinner. I found out that I have a vitamin D deficiency. I had the multivitamins that I've been meaning to take but kept forgetting. Today I had my last PT visit (for my knee anyway.) Things are going alright with my knee, but I don't look forward to when the injection wears off. Oh well, live for today huh.

Tonight we had chicken with rigatoni and pesto dinner. Jasmine usually likes it, but she only ate a little bit so I gave her a banana. She said she didn't want anything else. Now I'm trying to drink some water because I forgot to drink some all day.

Not supposed to work on Labor Day. What the heck? September 5 was my Mom's birthday/my Grandma's "labor" day. I'll have to celebrate by watching one of Mom's movies or listening to her songs and making unbaked bars. I hope you have a nice visit with your folks tomorrow. They'll be happy to see you I'm sure.

bestVase7265 September 2nd, 2023

I am so glad that the knee is at least a little better. Maybe the injection will never wear off. You never know. The PT could have helped a lot.

I also take a multivitamin in the morning along with a low dose iron tablet and a probiotic gummy. Hopefully they all add up to keeping my levels a bit better. The gummies are expensive though.

Some days your daughter will eat and some days she will just want a banana. That is a perfectly healthy thing to have. Drinking water is also great. I have all my plastic containers in the freezer right now filled with frozen water that I will gradually start melting and drinking. I don't like to buy lots of plastic bottles when we have a hurricane coming so I freeze water in my old containers instead.

Tonight we had a frozen meatloaf and then I made up some wheat/corn muffins that had dried pineapple in them. It was a weird combination of food, but it worked.@SweetPea321

Sorry about the panic attack. Those certainly are draining. You are doing a great job with the course so far. Resting a little bit is okay.

We just had leftover couscous salad tonight for dinner. I made a ton of it. Have you ever purchased one of those bags of precut salad? It comes with salad dressing usually and you could just buy a little chicken to cook up and put in with it. It is very simple because things are already cut. I am sure that it does hurt that he didn't respond. However, I find when such things happen that giving people the benefit of the doubt hurts me less than if I imagine that they did something because they didn't like me. That is so rarely the case. People really do get caught up in their own stuff.

Does the school preview for your daughter happen tomorrow? I bet you are looking forward to it.

If she doesn't want water, a popsicle made of just fruit juice is always a nice option for soothing the sore throat. My youngest son has been dealing with a head cold the last few days too. I am going to get my flu and COVID vaccines as soon as they are available. Getting sick isn't fun.

Class today went well. I had my seniors and they dug right into the book and had lots of good comments. We will see how tomorrow goes with my first years.

We also had soup for dinner. It was a kind that I never had before: red bean, walnuts and pomegranate. It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be and it was simple to make. @SweetPea321

What a different kind of soup. I've never heard of that. Tonight I just had a sandwich and made Jasmine some chicken noodle soup. She didn't eat all day except for 1 cracker. This morning I sent her to school and they called within 10 minutes to come pick her up because I guess she had a fever. I didn't check. I just felt her forehead and didnt think it was hot. Then we went to the doctor and found out that she has strep throat. I felt bad for pushing her to go to school. My throat has also been hurting and I felt utterly exhausted today. I asked my doctor if she'd give me some antibiotics too and she did.

My daughter is asking me to go sit by her on the couch and cuddle so ill go do that after this message. We'll be staying in this weekend. Hope you stay healthy and let's get our vaccines asap, yes!

Strep is never fun, but at least antibiotics bring it under control in a day or two rather than colds or COVID which seem to have no expiration date sometimes. Lots of soup and fruit juice popsicles are good. I hope that you are both feeling better soon.

My husband also has a slight sore throat. We just did leftovers for dinner and I ended up with the noodles and corn.

The day was a busy one with class, two meetings and a new faculty reception. But it was pretty smooth. It also looks like my father will finally be moved back to assisted living from the rehab/nursing home that my mother has been complaining about for a month. So hopefully the rest of the month will be less stressful. @SweetPea321

So your Dad is doing better then? Good. Hopefully your hubby's sore throat doesn't turn into a cold or worse...Covid. I'm not feeling well yet so I'll keep this short and sweet tonight. I just started the antibiotics today. I hope you had another smooth day at school πŸ™‚

So sorry that you still aren't feeling good. I hope that the antibiotics kick in really soon. My husband is dealing with a cough, but that is about it.

Today has been pretty restful and I have caught up on more school work. Tomorrow will be an intense (but fun) day with family. We are going to something called the Replay Museum. It basically is a giant room of arcade games and pinball machines. It was our Christmas present to the family and now we are finally using it.

I made some shrimp, mango and butternut squash curry over rice for dinner. It was good.

Hi Vase. I've been busy all day and now I promised I'd play games with the kiddo after dinner so I'll be back tomorrow night with a more thorough message. Sending good vibes to you and have a restful sleep tonight.

Thanks Vase. Yes I'm feeling better and so is my daughter. I'm sorry I missed you tonight. I was laying down with my daughter as she fell asleep. I bought my daughter some school clothes today and also some new bedding for both of us. I special ordered the lightweight quilts. Can't wait for them to come. My daughter gets hot at night even in the winter. She always kicks off her comforter. I get warm too.

Tonight we had general tso Chicken and veggies. I'll catch you tomorrow.

Good evening, Vase. How is Florida tonight. It's 63 degrees as I'm typing this. I love the cooler weather. Just got finished reading for 20 minutes with my daughter as that was her homework assignment. I forgot to check her folder yesterday, but oh well she just had reading. Tomorrow we'll start doing the homework right after school to get it out of the way.

Tomorrow I have my therapy appointment, so I'm looking forward to talking about me lol. I've been running more errands and doing more around the house lately. I've been feeling great actually. My long depression wave is gone for now. Hopefully it stays gone this winter and hopefully I don't get charged for that money business with my mother giving it to me. That's the only thing that's still keeping me from being completely content. Nobody's contacted me about it since it was turned over to law enforcement in July. The investigation was completed then I mean.

Florida is *** hot at the moment. I went grocery shopping mid day and felt as though I was sweating buckets. So I am jealous. But we will cool off in another month or two, right around Halloween.

I am so glad to hear that things are going well for you at the moment. It is so nice when the depression lifts for a while.

I am sure that the homework will become part of your routine. My youngest is right now dealing with a heavy chemistry load. He keeps doing his experiment (making soap from various oils) wrong and then needs more supplies. Today he texted right as I was getting ready to leave the food store that he needed another bottle of sesame oil. I had a choice to go back to get him one or to let all the frozen stuff defrost. I decided to wait until tomorrow.

Things are also going fairly well for me right now. The new semester and students seem okay and my dad's wound has stabilized. He was allowed to go back to assisted living which will make things much easier on my mom (and me listening to her complain).

I ate some of the leftover walnut/pomegranate soup for dinner. We will have leftovers tomorrow too. @SweetPea321

I'm glad to hear that things are going good for you and your Dad is ok. I've been busy all week. Being on this phentermine med has given me energy that I haven't had for a looong ttime.Ive lost 15 lbs in two months. I'm redoing my daughter's bedroom and doing some things to mine. Cleaning out closets, shopping and taking my Amazon and wally world boxes to the cardboard dumpster right away. My therapist said something about us eventually not seeing each other anymore when I'm ready. I started crying when she said that because we've been seeing each other for two years it'll be in October. I consider her like a friend. I know she's not and it's really a professional relationship, but I guess she listens to me the most out of anybody and I confide in her. Tomorrow I have my Comprehensive Weight Clinic appointment and PT. That'll take up my time while she's in school.

That is great that the new medication is really helping. I love all the weight loss and the renewed energy. You must be so relieved.

I have cut back seriously on therapy but I don't want to eliminate it. When things get crazy then I have a place to turn. We only talk every 6 weeks to 2 months though. But the knowledge that she is there is really helpful.

We were finishing more leftovers off tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I can finally make the salad that I have been planning.

So much for my energy. I took a nap and woke up feeling like crud. My daughter got sent home again this morning for coughing and her ears hurting. I took her to the doctor and she said it was a little red so she gave her some Augmentin. I decided to resume my Amoxicillan. I shouldn't have stopped it. I thought I was in the clear and well I'm so sick of taking a hundred pills a day. It feels like a hundred anyway. Of course my daughter had to get sick on another physical therapy day for me. Now they have me on call. I was so looking forward to going. I want my shoulder and arm to get better.

We'll be staying in for the weekend. How was your Friday?

Today was a bump in the road, not a giant pothole. That doesn't make it any more fun, but you will find your way back hopefully with some rest on the weekend. The physical therapy will also help next week when you can do it.

My day was fine. Class this morning went okay but some students were upset when I took points off because they did an assignment wrong. Oh well. Now they know how to do it and it doesn't cost them many points.

My weekend should be okay. Tomorrow we will take one of the cars in to get a new side mirror that gotten taken out when we crashed the two cars into one another in the driveway. I also have to bake a cake (angel food) for my parents for their wedding anniversary. I will visit them on Sunday.

Tonight I made a nice salad with roasted cauliflower, lettuce, tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, and chickpeas. @SweetPea321

Thankfully it's just a mirror and not a major fix. We are already feeling better, not 100 percent, but better. I'm back on the Amoxicillan and Jasmine is taking Augmentin. I got my new winter duvet comforter today and it is sooo dreamy. I actually look forward to the cold now so I can use it πŸ˜„

My eldest daughter got the present I sent her today, a jbl Bluetooth speaker and she was over the moon. I can't wait for her to receive the Juicy Couture velvet comforter and bedding set next Friday that I ordered for her. I figured since I got Jasmine and I some new bedding I might as well get her some too. I paid for her car payment and gave her some money for school clothes too last week. She's a good girl and I miss her. Wish we could see each other more.

Today we hung out listening to music and playing barbies and with the silly Furby. Do you remember a long time ago when we said we both bought stick vacs? I found mine unopened in the closet the other day and thought of you. I completely forgot about it. I'm gonna open it tomorrow and try it out upstairs. Did you like yours?

We actually jammed the two cars into one another so the other one also needs repair. The door currently won't open. We will probably wait a bit on that one. And I ended up ordering the wrong pictures of my son. So I have wasted several thousand dollars this week with my mistakes. So I am not really pleased with myself at the moment. Oh well.

I do love the stick vacuum cleaner. You have to charge it a bit before using it but it is so much easier to move around and clean out.

I bet the new comforters are wonderful. They will be quite comfortable. I did order myself a new pair of shorts and a shirt today to replace things that don't fit right. I hope that I chose something that will look okay.

Otherwise, I just made a cake for my parents. It was a bit of a flop, but they will appreciate the effort, I think. @SweetPea321

Ohhh Vase πŸ˜” I am so sorry that you lost some money. I know what that feels like. Earlier this year I wasted 1000 on new tires and I can't even remember how much on repairs only to find out that it was for nothing because the car's subframe was rusted. Remember that? First I was so mad at myself. Then I accepted it and said there will be more money in life. Perhaps you'll feel the same way after the initial anger and disappointment.

My stick vac was cool. Nice and light. It was nice not to lug the big vacuum upstairs. I got caught up with laundry today as well. Now I'm ready to focus on the school week and get my quizzes and other assignments finished. I'm glad you got some new clothes for yourself. It's nice to have some new things. I bought two hoodies and two tee shirts as I wanted to spend more on the girls for their school clothes. I'm happy with my new bedding. I feel like a queen now πŸ˜„

I bet your folks appreciated the cake. That reminds me of this one time Mama made Swedish meatballs (my favorite that she used to make) for me and my friend and she accidentally burned them, but we ate them anyway because I loved my mom of course. Your cake was probably better than that. And then I accidentally overcooked the Christmas ham when my Dad was here a couple of years ago, but he ate it too πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ He said it was good, but didn't want seconds πŸ˜„

How are you doing tonight? Did you have a good weekend?
