Mental Health Awareness Self-Affirmations
Hello Everyone,
Thought I'd share some messages that I've came across the past 2 weeks. I have a coloring app (Happy Color) on my phone, and there had been a Mental Health Awareness event going on, where each day, I was either coloring a self-affirmation that I could save as my phone's background screen, or a message of comfort that acted like a postcard where I could send it to people I know.
So, here I thought I'd share these Messages with everyone, in hopes to provide support to some extent.
- I'm loved for who I am
- I believe in myself always
- I embrace my emotions as colors on life's palette
- I'm a work in progress
- I can feel and heal at my own pace
- I grow through what I go through
- Making mistakes make me stronger
- I celebrate my little victories
- Fine joy in each day
- Follow your own path, show your true color
There were other messages at the beginning of each "postcard", but I didn't copy it down, and it's not showing again when I click into it. But those messages were encouraging too.
I don't have many friends myself, so I was only able to send one postcard out to my older sister who is not related by blood. (She's the older sister of one of my brother's best friends, before she moved back to HK, we always called her "big sister". I still keep in contact with her frequently, and she mails me birthday cards and Christmas cards yearly. I used to write each other letters, like pen pals, that was before COVID. I haven't been sending her these letters since. Which reminds me, maybe I should start doing that again.
