Good Happy Saturday Morning!!
I hope you are all doing well, and taking care of yourself. This month went by so fast!
Here are the check-in questions for today:
1. How was your week?
2. Who do you look up to? (Could be anyone)
3. What is one short-term goal of yours?
My week was boring and i felt energyless whole the time. I want to find pleasure in things i do.
@Daamlwkaamchaam
Oh I see. What caused you to feel energyless?
May be despair
1.) My week was interesting. Let me know if you want to hear more.
2.) Its a tie between Aly Raisman, Simone Biles, and Nadia Comaneci
3.) Get my splits and backhandspring.
@maeeegymnast08
I'd love to hear about your week!
@talkswithariba
Well my brother broke his collarbone and I was told that I still can't play soccer. But I did finally get out of my boot and just into a brace.
I'm all confused and upset.. Not feeling good these days..
@quietSea2595
Do you know why? We could talk if you want. I'm happy to try and help if you want.

A Testimonial
The last two months have been particularly difficult. In a week, my immediate plans went on hold as I saw things being canceled and my contract terminated. At the same time, my insecurities keep surfacing as I am trying to find a way to heal. When I'm around people, I need to be alone. When alone, I miss people. My friends are always somewhere else and never really bother to check on me. The person I rely on these days has been more absent than ever before. I give, give, give. I love, love, love and somehow find myself in a pitfall of darkness with no apparent way out.
I've been writing more than I talk, I've been talking more to myself than others if anything at all. Everything seems so still, so quiet. It's been hard to find any joy no matter what I do or the circumstances at hand. When I think about joy, I just think about being around someone I love, receiving a hug, telling me everything will be okay. I've taken pride in being alone as I've been wandering the world like a lone wolf ever since I can remember, but I do need my pack, but I don't really have one. I've been wanting to cry for a long time now but tears don't find their way to my eyes.
Everything I do feels reduced to its fundamental substance: eating for the sake of eating, sleeping for the sake of sleeping. I eat healthily and stay healthy, but my mind is detereorating. I check for anything that could give my life meaning now, but it's hard to find a reason to look forward to any day that is to come. Sometimes I pause and see all the time passing, and how everything could be so much worse, despite not feeling guilty for having my own problems. In the midst of all the silence that has been present in my life, my cry for help is simply losing its strength. I guess I have no idea what's going on, and honestly, I don't know if I ever had.
@CuringwithLove you definitely are alone I actually read what you wrote twice because of the accuracy of what I've been going through. You are not alone I feel exactly the same. I find myself seeking for something but very unsure of what it is, it's really frustrating not understanding how to deal with this
@LoveSoulWanderer Thank you for sharing with me. I feel I can't carry the weight of the world by myself and it's okay to ask for people to back me up, to be there for me just like I can be there for them. I know how to be alone, but we need each other.
1. How was your week?
It was alright.
2. Who do you look up to?
My mom. Even though she's passed away I still look up to her a lot, as well as my dad. I look up to them the most.
3. What is one short-term goal of yours?
Brush my teeth tonight.
1. How was your week?
Had some highs and lows. Things are always hard with my family, and fear of death is a heavy weight, but I'm not going to stop thinking and learning and creating and working and spending my time here well.
2. Who do you look up to? (Could be anyone)
I am lucky enough to work for three amazing women at my three jobs, who are also all quite different. I feel so fortunate to be able to learn from all three of them.
3. What is one short-term goal of yours?
I'm about two hours away from finishing a huge work text, so I imagine I'll be done with that by Sunday night. That'll be my sixteenth book this year!
@nordurnStar
I'm sorry about the challenges in your family, Nordurn. I am glad that you're so resilient and continuing on with your life. It sounds like those women have been very awesome to you! It's always lovely to have such models of inspiration. Good luck with finishing your work text, and congrats on making your sixteenth book! I'm cheering you on. :)
@TheAutumnWitch
Hello again! You are such a wonderful presance.
How is your own weekend? Highlights coming up?
I celebrate the first of each month (a habit I picked up from a friend that makes it his hobby to exude joy), so I have generally positive feelings coming up for this Monday. Hope you are looking forward to something. I know you have your own family stuff.
<3!
@nordurnStar
Hello to you, too! Aww, thank you. The same could be said for you. (^_^)
My weekend has been okay, thanks for asking. I accidentally cut my thumb earlier, and it worried my closest friend when I told him about it until I sent him a selfie of me grinning and saying that I was a-okay. That asides, I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for a phone interview for what might become my first job!
That's a wonderful idea! I'm glad that you have a friend who introduced you to it, and that you're looking forward to the next week. I am; I'm looking forward to seeing how my career path might start sooner than I expected! (^w^)
@TheAutumnWitch
Good luck good luck good luck!
I like phone interviews--I think it's easier to focus when I only have to think about what I'm saying and not on what my face is signaling. Hope it goes really well!
@nordurnStar
Thank you, thank you, thank you! (^_^)
That is true; a phone interview gives me one less thing to worry about. I'm glad that you pointed that out!
@talkswithariba
1. How was your week?
My week was alright I guess, more lows than highs though.
2. Who do you look up to? (Could be anyone)
I don't really look up to anyone, the person I used to look up to let me down.
3. What is one short-term goal of yours?
One short-term goal I have is to finish my English project by Monday night.
@talkswithariba
1. How was your week?
It is scary living with these people.
2. Who do you look up to? (Could be anyone)
Jesus
3. What is one short-term goal of yours?
To try to learn to be happy while living here.
@purpleTree4652
Sorry to hear about that, Purple. :( I really hope you can get out of that situation one day, preferably sooner than later. I can relate in my own way. It's good that you have Jesus to turn to, and that short-term goal is very admirable.
