Hey whats up??
Hi hi @GlowingBubbles7696 nice to meet you! Ooh and yes, AI art is amazing, I think. What kind of art do you like creating?😃
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou Hi dear.... I have been trying so much last few minutes to find the notification or to find out this response of yours but I couldn't get it in application, now I am in the website and could find out your response, if you are online do respond....
@GlowingBubbles7696
Hiya, yes good to see you and no worries, the tags can be a hit and miss sometimes. I prefer the website version more as well!
My "interest" is that of a lifelong artist & former freelance illustrator seeing a new form of technology that will, inevitably, eliminate an entire industry (illustration & graphic design) & render those who work in it obsolete. AI art is also based on an unethical business model, as the images used for training the AIs are scraped from the Web like a trawler with a miles-wide net at sea, taking images from every site it finds--with no compensation to any artist/photographer for any of their images used. Or even any permission asked in advance. There is an intellectual property lawsuit going on in California right now about this very issue, in fact.
So if by "interest" you mean, say, a fixed gaze at a bunch of mechanistic virtual entities (& the companies that spawned & own them) that are by their nature inherently hostile to me then yes...I'm interested.
Here are a few things to watch & consider, for @GlowingBubbles7696 as well as anyone else who thinks about AI-generated art &/or uses it or has been exposed to it:
- The AI Art Apocalypse
- a paper on AI art's effect on real--that is, human--artists
- the war between artists & AI
- a video on analogies used in the case for AI art
- TEDX Talk - the problem with AI-generated art
- the biggest art heist in history
Happy viewing, everyone.
