Water-Mixable Oil paint?
The late, great Bob Ross, painting one of his mountain tops!
Now that it is harder and harder to keep the windows open because of the chilly weather I have been investigating water-mixable oil paint and I wondered if any of the painters out there had ever used it or had any tips or thoughts on it?
Apparently, it is an oil paint that can be cleaned off brushes using water and soap rather than thinners or spirits making it safer. Reviews tell about different odours and smells of the paints and mediums.
From wiki:-
- Water mixable oils are genuine oil paints, formulated with the base of a drying oil. Unlike traditional oil paints, this drying oil base will have been modified so that it can be mixed with water. An additive is introduced to the oil and works as an emulsifier, allowing small droplets of oil to blend into water to form a stable solution.
so any oil painter out there with a view?
@MistyMagic Woohoo! Guess what Santa gave me this Christmas!
So I will try and journal how I get on with these and what my painting turns out like.
