I couldn't imagine my life without my doggie... He makes my heart melt ❀️ it's an unexplainable love that I can honestly say he's like one of my babies, wouldn't change anything for the world πŸ’ž

My dog is always the most excited living thing to see me when I walk in the door to my house. Doesn't matter how long I am gone for. Dogs are the best

My dog improves my life with her unconditional love and support.  She gives me extra love on my sad days. On my tremor days she makes me feel safe. And on my fainting days that I feel broken she reminds me that I am okay. I never experienced this type of bond before but she's my best friend and helper. Also a typical doggy child and playful. 🐸Kermit1000014102_1728543105.jpg

Hey Kermit,

Thanks so much for sharing. Beautiful dog you have there. I don't have much of a support system around me and spend 90% of my time alone. As I don't have close family or friends near by. I feel that a furry companion could also bring love into my life and give me the opportunity to share all the love I have. I've wanted a dog for such a long time. But I do worry about not being well enough at times to give it the life I would want to. How do you still look after your dog when you're having the worst days ever?

Thanks, Drift

Drifter,Β

I had the very same concerns about myself during my darkest hardest moments. I went from nightmares ,flash backs, no seep weighted blanket, to this amazing hero of mine.

(No more blanket )Β

My pup is great because she is registered ESA.  She alerts me before I even know i will faint,  or have one of my special moments.  On the days I couldn't get myself out of bed, she gave me so much love affection. I didn't have a choice but to get out of bed as she makes me 🀣.  If I happen to forget anything she will remind me.  I never had this type of unconditional support or love from a pet before.

I got out of my dark hole mostly because of her.Β

I too was all alone isolated and didn't have or want any other interaction with humans. Therapy wasn't being effective as I didn't want anything.Β

The best thing I ever did was find her. She was adopted is older but perfect match for me. She gave me that push I needed to start taking care of myself. She became such an amazing companion my spouse gets a tad jealous πŸ™‚.Β

I hope you find the best perfect pet.

Kermit🐸✨️

Thanks for taking the time to respond and write such a thoughtful message. It's really inspiring the change she has brought into your life. And it's lovely that you adopted her. I'm sure you've made her very happy. And yeah, even if you do have access to interaction with humans, sometimes you can prefer to not to. Which is where an animal can be the perfect companion. I'm glad to hear she helped you. Thanks again for sharing. Drifter 😊

Meet Gwen who is my small and furry flatmate. She chews everything, enjoys running about on my desk, often steals what I am eating and makes me laugh a lot. When she was younger, her favourite place for a nap was in one of two small vases I have stored on the bookcase behind the desk.

whenever I'm at my worst I go find our cat, he's the fluffiest orange boy, I put my face on his tum for a moment, hear his breathing and heartbeat and purring and I calm down. or just his little things, he sometimes makes tiny snoring sounds in his naps and sometimes attacks my feet while I'm sleeping or runs over to touch noses or headbut me, how he expeditions all around the garden like a little simba, he always makes me smile.Β

I love my pet so much. Her name is Noodles, and she's a six year old calico cat. I've had her since she was a kitten and for that reason I feel very strongly attached to her. She's been around through many stages of my life, and has seen me through some pretty tough moments. I have her here at college with my right now, and she really does her job as an ESA. I don't have any friends here on campus, and my only friend, my boyfriend, and I are long-distance while I'm here. Having her here makes me feel like someone will always be waiting for me at the end of the day, and she prompts me to take care of myself so that I can take care of her.Β

Hey there, tank you for sharing that. That's a cute name for a pet. Long distance sounds like a challenge, but I'm glad you have Noodles for company. A cat's quiet, cuddly presence can feel really calming. My cat used to sleep on me. And when I went through the really rough days, it really comforted me. I think especially as, like yourself, I'm not geographically close to friends, it is important to have a pet that can be an emotional support animal. Mine used to go berserk anytime I heard a can of tuna touch the worktop lol. I like how they talk to ya too.

I've been on the fence for quite some time. I was looking to adopt, but that isn't always as simple as one might hope. And I've thought long and hard. At the moment I think it's more than likely going to be a dog.

I don't have a pet but I feed a stray cat. She's the most precious thing. Every time I go a day without seeing her I feel hollow from the inside. She brings joy and hope for better times. She's adorable and has prompted me to get a pet for myself haha.

Wow, that's awesome. I have some neighbourhood cats and whenever I cross their path I crouch down to say hello. They are the cutest things. My interactions with cats have actualy inspired a children's book I am writing. I find it amazing how an interaction with a creature can have a super positive effect on how I feel in that moment. Which is a big reason why I think having my own pet would be a positive thing for my wellbeing. Thank you so much for sharing 😊

Hi

I have a green baby parrot named Leo🦜. I love him because he loves humans regardless of their skin color and features. When humans are mean to me, he is kind with me (except when he is sleepy)

My point is, my bird helps me with self love, he help me believe that I'm beautiful like all other humans.

Thank you for sharing that 😊

I think animals are great like that. They don't judge us and love us unconditionally. The way it should be in human relationships too.
