What is the one insecurity you really wish to get over? ⭐️

sshn07 July 10th, 2022

Insecurities.. many of us have them. Sometimes it can hold us back from things we aspire to obtain.

If so, what is the one insecurity you wish to overcome?

If you did, how have you worked on it?

Use this judgement-free space to express your feelings!

Hi again @sshn07! It looks like you make so many posts!

I don't really have any insecurities but if anyone here have any insecurities, there are things to remember:

-nobody is perfect

-your struggles can be part of your breakthroughs

-and the classic... You are not alone

Thank you for putting this out here! These are the crucial reasons why I made this post: to let people know that they're not alone, and nobody is perfect. By seeing others share their insecurities and hopefully have someone share their experience working through it, might help some of us in ours.

Your 2nd point is a dealbreaker for me as I'm learning from it too. 💜

p.s sorry you're seeing my posts a lot 😂 I'm in the CDM program and this is one of my tasks! I'm so thankful to you that you're contributing to my forum posts 🙏

I feel insecure about the new normal. It's making people more and more unkind & self absorbed. And when it happens too often, it tends to turn you into one as well.

I'm not insecure about it directly, but it makes me feel insecure in all kinds of situations - I have the strange curse of being misunderstood way too often, no matter how clear I am. It's hard to define how I've worked on it... I've done a little bit of everything, but it doesn't always work.

Over the last month I've had to come to grips with the fact that not only do I have insecurities, but I have a bunch of them. They function like an engine driving me forward, not to do what is good or right, but instead what fuels the insecurity. If I could get rid of one, it would be the one that fuels most of my social anxiety, the seemingly constant fear of disappointing people. Being more aware has helped, but to be done with it would be better.

one insecurity that i would like to get over is the fact that i don't feel quite confident enough in general social gatherings...

i think that i have to have more exposure to social gatherings to regain confidence in this aspect of my life...

I am insecure about my teeth. I smoke cigarettes and smoking has left a stain on them. So I try not to smile much and when I'm talking face to face with someone I'm always trying to talk with my lips covering my teeth.

My communication skills are not good. I really don't know how to or what to say, so misunderstanding(it happens mostly)doesn't happen. Especially 1-on- 1 interaction here , it's very difficult for me because I really don't understand most of the normal stuff .
