How Well Are You Thriving? Assess Your Flourishing
Thank you for joining the Flourishing Challenge!
Flourishing is the gold standard for measuring well-being. It is a multi-dimensional concept that refers to the process of making an active effort to pursue key well-being areas such as positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment. We are grateful to have you join us on this journey.
Researchers from Harvard University have designed a Flourishing test that helps us assess how much we are flourishing in our lives. Their research and assessment closely relates to 6 main areas:
(1) Happiness and Life Satisfaction
(2) Mental and Physical Health
(3) Meaning and Purpose
(4) Character and Virtue
(5) Close Social Relationships
(6) Financial and Material Stability
You can now assess your flourishing levels using Harvard's assessment via 7 Cups here - the results will help you keep track of which areas you are doing well in, as well as areas that you can improve in.
The best part is that this current Flourishing Challenge explores all of the above-mentioned areas! We hope your experience at 7 Cups helps you thrive more.
You can keep track of your flourishing levels by exploring your personal private timeline (click here) and comparing your flourishing level progress - remember, flourishing may have its ups and downs but the key here is to keep doing small things for your overall wellness journey! We will retake the flourishing test throughout this challenge and you can also take it at regular 2-week intervals if you like. This is a glimpse of what the timeline results display looks like:
Feel welcome to reflect on your results in this thread. Which flourishing areas are you most looking forward to improving in?

@SoulfullyAButterfly
i am 69 percent flourishing and I can use improvement in areas of the social relationships and honestly that sounds about right :/ ugh now how to do this? My work and then home life takes over a lot of life and I don’t know really how to meet new people anyways!
@SoulfullyAButterfly
I'm feeling really off today but I think this is fairly accurate, I tried to answer in terms of how I normally feel, normally I feel happy with what I have despite worrying a lot about financial issues, and what few relationships I have are solid but I am lonely fairly often and don't have any "real life" friends.

Close Social Relationships
@SoulfullyAButterfly
49% flourishing. Character & virtue, mental & physical health as strengths. Close social relationships need improvement. Feels accurate to me.
Going through a location transition currently, very optimistic about the changes I'm implementing. Eager to re-take this quiz in 3 to 4 months to re-assess my progress.
I also notice a trend of people on here needing to improve close social relationships. That's what drew me to this site initially, lol! Blessings everyone. Glad to be here.
@DrTsukumii
same here, lol! <3 blessings <3
My flourishing very bad was 15 percent think am not good
@theboymoana
16 :P
I'm not really sure of ways I can improve these things, can anyone help please?
@SoulfullyAButterfly
Was able to retake it, and my score went up! Woohoo
Feels accurate to me still, if anything more so. Before I had physical and mental health as my strong points, and have slacked a bit with my diet and exercise but still overall healthy despite some weight gain over the last month. I have been focussing on promoting the positive more, so I'm glad to see the score go up and for that area to show improvement specifically.
@SoulfullyAButterfly I am hoping to improve my Mental & Physical Health
