What I Accomplished Today!
Hello everyone! This thread is here to post what your goals are and your achievements within content volunteering.
Example: "Submitted 2 articles today and reached my goal of 3 hours of writing this week!"
Participating here is optional, but if you're interested in earning a certificate (for 50+ hours), please let me know your hours as you go/periodically in this thread.
Thank you!
@wordgirl73
I worked on the article I'm editing for about 1.5 hours, just reading, adding punctuation, and structuring sentences. I like to be very thorough when I edit.
I've also worked on a writing article for about an hour but feel stuck now.
I spent 2 hours searching for pages/articles that need a 7 cups link
Happy 1 week of being a part of the Content Volunteer Team - I tracked some of my work last week and am sharing now!
As an Editorial Assistant: 3 hours.
- 16 July: Spent 3 hours editing my very first article! I found a suitable featured image, edited formatting, found relevant links, and even got to learn the HTML part!
As a Writer: 4 hours.
- 16 July: Spent 1 hour looking for possible candidates for article series.
- 17 July: Spent 1 hour outreaching the possible candidates and experts.
- 19 July: Spent 2 hours interviewing my very first candidate.
@SoulfullyAButterfly Loved your recap, great job managing multiple roles!
@wordgirl73 Thank you so much, it has been a fun week - I like being occupied and was glad to start this journey.
2nd Week - was a bit slow. I have been a bit ill and also, the non-writing part of the writing process is definitely sometimes long! New things being learned though
As an Editorial Assistant: 2 hours.
- 22 July: Spent 2 hours editing and completely submitting my second edited article, alongside featured image and HTML.
@SoulfullyAButterfly Probably my biggest surprise becoming a writer is how much writing is actually NOT writing! But a well-researched piece is always going to be a better experience for the reader and for the company in terms of placing in Google search. Thank you for your thoughtful prep!
Hi there, I am here after spending almost 3 hours editing and submitting another article, hoping I performed better than the last time. Waiting for the feedback. :)
@wordgirl73
I discovered this thread a little late,
I have researched and wrote two articles in the past two weeks (out of which one even got publlished), I also edited one article.
Currently I started writing the third article and researching for the next two articles.
@LetsSpreadHappiness
I dont remember exactly how many hours I gave for the first two articles, but i assume it should've been minimum 5hours for both of the previously written articles.
The ones I started today, I've given almost two hours to them as of now.
@LetsSpreadHappiness
I finished my 3rd article today, gave approximately 3 hours of research and writing.
I will be submitting it by tommorow morning after a proof read.
@LetsSpreadHappiness
I edited two articles today in almost an hour and submitted my article.
@LetsSpreadHappiness
I submitted my fourth article today, it took around 5 hours in total to write, edit and research over this piece.
@LetsSpreadHappiness
I submitted my 5th article today, again it took me approximately 6 hours to research, write and edit it. I hope it is satisfactory
.
