wordgirl73 July 12th, 2019

Hello everyone! This thread is here to post what your goals are and your achievements within content volunteering.

Example: "Submitted 2 articles today and reached my goal of 3 hours of writing this week!"

Participating here is optional, but if you're interested in earning a certificate (for 50+ hours), please let me know your hours as you go/periodically in this thread.

Thank you!

@wordgirl73

I worked on the article I'm editing for about 1.5 hours, just reading, adding punctuation, and structuring sentences. I like to be very thorough when I edit.

I've also worked on a writing article for about an hour but feel stuck now.

@InvaderStitch great job being thorough! Editors are very detailed people. I hope you were able to break through writer's block, it happens to all of us. I find taking a break and walk outside for a little bit tends to help. :D

2nd Week - was a bit slow. I have been a bit ill and also, the non-writing part of the writing process is definitely sometimes long! New things being learned though

Butterfly As an Editorial Assistant: 2 hours.

  • 22 July: Spent 2 hours editing and completely submitting my second edited article, alongside featured image and HTML.

@SoulfullyAButterfly Probably my biggest surprise becoming a writer is how much writing is actually NOT writing! But a well-researched piece is always going to be a better experience for the reader and for the company in terms of placing in Google search. Thank you for your thoughtful prep!

@SoulfullyAButterfly Also I hope you are feeling better!

@wordgirl73

I discovered this thread a little late,

I have researched and wrote two articles in the past two weeks (out of which one even got publlished), I also edited one article.

Currently I started writing the third article and researching for the next two articles.

@LetsSpreadHappiness

I dont remember exactly how many hours I gave for the first two articles, but i assume it should've been minimum 5hours for both of the previously written articles.

The ones I started today, I've given almost two hours to them as of now.
