This kind of goes with burnout and work stress........ but what do you all do when you get burned out at work? Or annoyed with your co-workers?

@KarmaTheRascal

1. realising that i have to back next day.

2. realising why i started working , what were my personal goals that i wanted to meet.(except money)

3. will i allow others irritating attitute to trample my personal goals ?

4. is there a chance that i will learn to deal with the co-workers if i cross this hurdle.

5. eat something sour like lemon or pickles ,(choclates do not really work )

@Skansly

Interesting, I really like numbers 2,3, and 4. Love your answers.
I know co-workers get annoying but sometimes I just can't stand their stupidity.

If really burnt out at work I get signed off or just quit outright. If that's not possible then I vent to people who aren't backstabbing and two faced (literally no one), so I vent online to some randoms who mean nothing to me. Doesn't change things per se but at the very least it's an outlet for negative energy.

I've been in an occupation that has zero job satisfaction(in my opinion) since 1997. There is no "end product" or anything tangible to grasp on to at the end of the day other than the fact that everyone went home safe. I work with a lot of negative people, not just co-workers. This makes the environment that much harder to work in. I knew what it would be when I signed on, but pay and benefits, including the retirement are very good. The job has changed over the years. Some for the good, a lot for the bad.(again, just my opinion) I have been going through bouts of burnout for about 3 or 4 years now. They come and go. In 3 years I'll turn 55 and can collect retirement. Leaving isn't an option at this point. Venting helps a lot but doesn't always do the trick. I kinda just roll with the burnout until it works its way out. Then it returns, usually some weeks or months later. Its a cycle but one I have learned to live with. I see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sometimes I feel it can't come fast enough. 7cups helps a lot. I can get my thoughts and feelings on my stress and anxiety on paper so to speak. Sometimes I get good ideas and feedback. Sometimes I type things and get nothing. But that is ok too....at least I got the feelings out. Hang in there. I hope you find the help and advice you are looking for.
