Will I ever have control on my anxiety
Hello everyone !! Anxiety is something I have been working through on and off throughout my life from being a teen to now. I was on and off medications for years, went to therapy, felt alone, dealt with constant breakdowns and never felt like I could take control. Over the years I have found self- care and calming/releasing techniques that have made me feel that I was in the drivers seats being able to put a handle on my anxiety. Before I give any tips these are 2 super important messages 1.) this is YOUR journey so learn how to connect with yourself 2.) trust the process good things take time!! Tips and tricks: Writing in a journal or get creative with drawing, painting sculpture any type of art expression! So when you are feeling your anxiety is coming or maybe you already went through challenge or tough time any of the above methods could help you express yourself by what you were feeling in your mind and body or maybe this method just calms you and helps you forget. Things work differently for everyone. The other method that made a huge impact is grounding. There are tons of websites, YouTube videos apps that can teach you grounding techniques and how to help get a handle on anxiety. Anxiety sure is a Thief. Steals our joy and peace. Anxiety leads me to fear that I will suffer once again tomorrow and the day after and on and on. I HATE anxiety. It has taken away my smile
