New medication
I used to take Lorazepam for panic disorder but the family medicine clinic I go to stopped prescribing psych meds so I was given an antihistamine called hydroxyzine and took my first pill last night. It did relax me for an hour but then it tarted feeling like there was this weight on my eyes and I couldn't read text online or do anything that required vision so I decided to get ready for bed... then I noticed my heart rate was about 30 points higher than it usually is, which is weird because I also take beta blockers (so no clue what it would have been if I wasn't on them!).
I was trying to eat dinner before bed, and I'm just put the food in my mouth but forget to chew it, or I had no interest in chewing. That affect has stayed with me 14 hours later. I did sleep for 4 hours, then woke up, then slept more... woaking up a few more times but unable to get out of bed. Today I feel foggy and have blurred vision and am moving very slow.
Has anyone else had an experience like this with this medication? I can't believe people are supposed to take two pills, 3 times per day, when I only took one and it really messed me up.

Seems your new medication makes your body feel very uncomfortable. Sorry that you experience this. It is better to talk to your doctor soon to figure out what happen or change your medication. Hope you feel better soon.
@JustLondon Hi there. I am curious, do you think this just not reacting well with you? Sometimes that can be the case. This doesn't sound like it's jiving well with you, possibly? Are you able to, or have you considered, getting into contact with your doctor and run this all by them and see what their thoughts are on it?
@FlourishingDimensions
Thanks. Yeah I'm just not going to take it again. I felt kind of loopy all day and not nauseous but my stomach felt weird today. I couldn't exercise or anything. I just felt sick. So I don't have to take anymore. I'll see her in 2 weeks and let her know about the side effects.
