I am frustrated and scared
I recently started therapy but I just can't seem to be able to enjoy making that step forward and embrace it fully. I keep thinking that I should have started therapy years ago and that now it may be too late for me to change and fix my problems. I am scared of being a lost cause and to be stuck with my anxiety forever,
hey @honestGarnet0407 (: i understand how you feel. it can be very daunting and overwhelming doing therapy, especially for the first time. you feel as if it won’t work on you, as if you’re someone who’s been left suffering for so long that they now can’t be fixed. i hear you, and i know how you feel. you’re already trying by sharing your feelings with us, and by also trying to do therapy as well. and although you’re finding everything hard and hopeless at the moment, we’re all here to support you, no matter what decision/s you choose to make. you’re not a lost cause, you’re a person who’s pushing through and who is doing what they can right now, and that’s always enough. trust me when i say that no matter what negativity you are experiencing, there is always hope. i wish you the best, and you can pm me anytime! -S x
It is never too late to start therapy or to start working on yourself. I think your anxiety will subside the more sessions you go to. You are not a lost cause. By just going to therapy you have taken a major step.. By talking about your fears you show others that you are strong. Continue !!
