How do you make new friends/branch out with your anxiety?
I have realized I am becoming a bit of a hermit lately. I am very introverted and shy, as well as anxious.. I find it hard to put myself out there and meet new people/friends due to my anxiety and also some trauma issues. I am wondering what y'all do to break down this anxiety? Where do you go to meet new people? How can you set healthy boundaries for yourself when making new friends? What boundaries do you initially set?

Well I had intended to go to church this morning. But.... I was checking some things with my checking account. Found out a couple of things went thru I had no knowledge of. So anxiety set in as I spent 45 min on phone trying to fix. Didnt get fixed. So I have to wait till Tues when banks open.
But anyway its like one thing gets out of whack an it takes a domino effect on everything else. I just dont want to throw my hands up in defeat for this day. I want to reclaim it. But I feel like I need to lay down an go to sleep to recover. Trying to fight it.
@patientDime3940 I don't, really. I'm like... I only meet people online, bc I suck at meeting new people. But the good thing about meeting people online is that you can meet up with them, when you feel comfortable with it :)
I'm a member of many RPG-sites, so we meet up 5 to 10 people a few times a year. So if you don't really like to talk a lot, you can just listen to the other people at the event. It's nice for me, bc I'm really scared of meeting up with just one person, bc I then have to talk a lot. I can't just sit and stare, lol.
I think theres a variety of methods to interact with others, and find friendships along your lifestyle journey.
