I'm just struggling cause I'm always worrying like any ADHD person would do. I feel like everything I do is hopeless and my ADHD isn't making it any better. I just through a breakup and I'm trying to recover from it and I'm just stuck in the deepest hole I've been and I can't get out. It's just so stressful and I don't know what to do...

Hi there. Sorry to hear about the break up, that sucks. It’s good to hear you’re trying to get through this but please don’t beat yourself up. These things take time. You’ve mentioned ADHD, are you on medication or is this something recent?

Hi Johnnyboy, breakups are hard and I can understand how having ADHD adds a layer of complexity to it. You can feel so low and lethargic after going through a breakup, which makes total sense given the nature of the situation. It is sad and painful when we have to say goodbye to someone we were once close to.

It's no easy task to take care of yourself but it is exactly what needs to happen. The simple things like getting enough sleep, eating healthy and trying to exercise goes a long way, even if it means just taking a walk with a friend. Exercise and good food is proven to help our brain secrete the hormones needed to balance our mood and sleep is also essential for good brain chemistry. I hope you feel better in the days to come. 😊
