ADHD Meds

I’ve tried various ADHD meds, adderall, adderall XR, vyvanse, and ritalin. The problem is that only adderall short release seems to work, and the crash afterwards was too much. I’m starting to question if I even have ADHD because all the other meds only made me nauseous, heart racing, just kind of adrenaline-y. And I know that adderall does things for everyone, not just people with ADHD. I just don’t know what to do, or what is wrong with me if it isn’t ADHD.

@b00kishbard

Hi b00kishbard, your concerns and questions are valid and I can totally understand why you would want to know exactly what is going on with you. It is not ideal having to try multiple medications along with the side effects. Would you consider getting a second opinion from another doctor?

You should give biphentin a go. I'm on that medication and it works wonders

Hi there! It’s possible to still have ADHD and be incompatible with stimulants, in fact it’s not as rare as you may think. I recommend discussing with your psych or doctor about other options, such as non-stimulant ADHD medication and see how that weighs out. Best luck with treatment!
