I masturbate when everything is just awful. And i do it to escape my reality i guess? I've been doing it alot.

I don't see a problem. As long as you are not hurting yourself psychically or mentally, it's fine. Perhaps this is your way to relief stress. In the meantime you can explore more/other ways in stress-release. It depends on how you feel about it.
I read in a book that Sexual addiction is a pattern of behaviour that has four components: 1. it feels out of control 2.it brings harmful consequences 3. it seems impossible to stop from 4. it has a function ( anaesthetise a negative feeling state )

Give it over to the Lord. We are all weak, and we all fall short of the glory of God. God is currently in the process of setting me free from my porn addiction. When you are stressed, talk to Christ instead and share your worries and life with him.
How? I feel like I’ve gone to him so many times and repented so many times. And everytime I get the motivation again and Then I fail again it just seems not worth it anymore. 😔
