Addiction
I'm not sure if this is an internet addiction but I just spend the whole day watching TV shows on my and it's just wathever I do in my room I don't do it without watching TV. When I wake up on weekends or in the holidays I start watching. It kinda keeps me from learning or when I'm learning I learn and watch TV on the same time. I think it's also kinda a escape from reality because I just don't have to think about all the things that scare me in my real live. I also always wear my headphones so I am less in ,,the real world". My family is technically great but my brother for example is not really a silent person so the headphones kinda help shutting those noises out. On the one side I won't it to stop or get better because got example I don't know how my life is supposed to be when Im grown up and still watch TV the whole day and it kinda ruins my life. But on the other side it also makes my life more liveable so I don't want it stop. I don't know...
I also think that my father is kind the same
@Lilachocolatecake i used to be similar aswell but instead i would play videogames all day. but the ways i got away from that was by setting myself goals short and long term goals, reading books (i read self improvement books). and by going out with friends more. also make sure whatever youre trying to stay away from isnt accessible from you. that way youll slowly forget that it even existed and youll get in the habit of doing other activities
You should try picking up a hobby that you enjoy doing to try and distract yourself like drawing or knitting. You should also have someone there for you who supports you, like a good friend or just someone you trust a lot. I hope that things get better soon and you should never give up. :)
@Lilachocolatecake What I want to say is that the electronic age will make time pass faster. I would also focus on electronics and not get things done.
I believe the best solution is to find your own learning style and achievable goals.
I'm more focused at night, so I sleep before I work. And I will try to set a task for myself, such as working for 1 hour before looking at my phone.
You can try to put your mobile phone far away from yourself. For example, if you work in the bedroom, put your mobile phone in the kitchen or other rooms.
How productive you can be with headphones is up to the individual, and blocking out noise is a good way to go.
Everyone needs some rest, and the most important thing is that you can come out when the break is over. I look forward to your change.
