An Important Update Regarding Doorkeepers
Exactly a year ago, we introduced Update- Group Support Chat room Management (Doorkeeper). It was a form-based request queue where you can fill the request to open/close a specific room at a specific time, and a doorkeeper will do the needful as per the request submitted. It was started to ensure 24/7 better coverage and support to all group support leaders. And these leaders could run sessions or open chats timely as per their availability.
But due to not many doorkeepers, we were unable to process the requests on time and it discouraged many leaders to run sessions. So, we are reviving this process again. Currently, we have 134 doorkeepers who could help you out. Here is a list of 83 doorkeepers I able to pull so far.
**If any leader has a doorkeeper badge but not listed in this list, please update me through 1-1.
Important notes:
To all doorkeepers: If you do not have access to the doorkeeper queue dash yet, please send a 1-1 either to @AlwaysEli or @ASilentObserver (me). Currently, this process is managed by @AlwaysEli. She is the Group Support Mentor Leader (Communications). Your help and support will be much appreciated.
To all room supporters and chatroom moderators:
- Please submit your request 5-10 minutes before you need the room to be opened/closed so that someone from the team could do the needful swiftly.
- If you see any of the above users around at the time you need help with opening/closing the room, you can request them to do so. And, for the record purpose, please fill the request form.
We will not be accepting any new doorkeeper applications till next year. At the end of the quarter, the badge will be reset for all.

@ASilentObserver thanks for bringing this to my attention. I will try to be more vigilant but there are some things that may help.
I notice that sometimes the notice happens only a few hours or minutes before it is needed. I was wondering if it is possible to notify 24-48 hours in advance of planned discussions when possible. I am better able to predict being available.
Could we add a column "Date you want room opened" and make "when you want room opened" "What time you want room opened?" I cannot tell what date people want room open on current sheet.
Also what about a thread in a forum where discussions could be posted that need a doorkeeper. All the door keepers can be tagged to that thread and that might be another way to make sure doors get opened.
