The Power of Honesty
“Honesty, is a quality of moral character that denotes the absence of negative traits like lying, cheating, and stealing as well as good and virtue-based traits like integrity, truthfulness, and straightforwardness, among others. Being honest also entails being dependable, loyal, fair, and genuine.
Share, and Allow People to Share With You
People frequently have a wealth of interesting things to share. It may be an engaging personal story, a fun game you’ve never heard of, a movie that you’re yet to watch or some music you’ve never tuned into before. Give people the freedom to express themselves, and never be afraid to express yourself in an honest manner. Being honest about your preferred musical genre or personal life experiences is something everyone will appreciate!
Set Up Your Boundaries, Respect People’s
Never speculate or assume what someone else is experiencing. In a relationship, making assumptions may lead to many misunderstandings. Even if you might think you know someone well enough to be able to determine what they are thinking, it is always preferable to ask as opposed to making a guess. And listen. Always try to communicate your thoughts and understand what people may or may not like, and adjust your behavior to these people.
Never Be Ashamed of Your Weaknesses and What You Can’t Do
You deserve someone who will support you in overcoming your insecurities because they are real. If people around you see you negatively because of how you are feeling, that’s a reflection of them, not you.”

@innateJoy9602 I think honesty is one of the most important values because it shows trust. Honesty should be one of the core values of a relationship because if someone consistently lies, how can you know when they are being loyal to you? Honesty is important in all aspects of life too; professional, personal, etc. We have to be able to trust each other.

Yes! I agree!
I like how you made the point of saying it's an important core value of a relationship!
Thanks for reading :)💛✨
@innateJoy9602 Of course! Thank you for sharing this article!😊
@innateJoy9602 I believe honesty requires trust from both parties. Sometimes, trusting people can be challenging especially if someone has been hurt in the past. Honesty takes courage and is healthy in most cases but it's also perfectly fine to keep some things for ourselves when necessary. Thank you for the interesting post!

Personally for me if someone comes to me honestly all premonitions are off. Even if they are honest about their dislike for me or in a critique of something I do, I take it seriously because I know they are being genuine and sharing their true feelings/thoughts about an issue,
@innateJoy9602 I value honesty a lot. I try to be as honest as I can with people and I hope they do the same for me. It's important to have someone you can whole-heartedly trust.
Honesty is a great value to have! I like that you try your best to be as honest as you can! :) 💛💫
@innateJoy9602 Thank you!

Thank you for sharing this post. It is a very interesting topic.
I believe that honesty is important, but it's not always easy (or maybe even right) given our circumstances. I want to be authentic and honest, both personally and professionally, but it is not always easy. We often change/adapt to people and environments. I do this at work and with certain relatives in order to keep things peaceful and maintain my own sanity. :) (Being honest can lead to arguments and most of the time I am too drained to argue.)
Speaking of honesty reminds me of that robot on Interstellar and how his honesty setting could be adjusted. :)

It's so important! I do belive that honesty and loyalty are the most important qualities when it comes to building a relationship with a partner. Honesty is important since it allows us to be vulnerable with eachother aswell as being "real" with our emotions, fears, hope and aspiration. Because one lie often begins a snowball effect where it gets bigger and bigger and eventually the lie comes out and destroys even the most beautiful of relationships.
So honesty is always the best way to go, although in certain situations it can be good to say a "white lie" once in a while when one is needed.

I do believe that honesty is not only a good value but, also important in any kind of relationship. for atm, I am dealing with emotions that I don't know if my friends (who left when I needed support or believe a lie, or just don't speak to me." are being honest with me (in the past) or we can't have an honest conversation about what I'm going through. To be honest, (no pun intended) I don't know if my friends are honest with themselves or just don't want to hear my honest side of the event. my point is, honesty is the key to any relationship. I hope when I find a partner they will be honest with me and I can be honest with them back without worry of judgment.
