Anxiety has me feeling broken, sad, panicky and shakey. I feel like I'm not in control of my own life or body and everything is going wrong, even though nothing bad has happened.

@alliseeissky hey there let's sit for a sec ok...

First I want you to know all these feelings you are having over anxiety-they are valid ones. Broken, sad, panicky as well as shakey all go hand in hand when dealing with anxiety. During a panic attack it really does feel there is not control but more so fear- over your body as well as life! I know cause at times my social anxiety flares up something evil I say. But there is hope to have this slowly lesson for you, to where you have more control in your body and lifeheart

Over time-like many of years I got to know how Mindfulness could help me with anxiety. At first I was not "taken" by this and had to faith or hope that I'd get better. But as I was determined to get better and TAKE back control over my life and body, yes for me I found this helped.

When having an axiety/panic attack our bodies go into Flieght Mode. Oh yes-yes it sure does. Fear builds, our breathing is fast and all over, palms sweating, our body's feel off, sometimes we do not remember what's going on. So many things go on during this time in our heads and minds. Hun in time you can slowly take some control over this. Breathing slower does help alot with lowering our anxiety/panic. It helps us focus on the here and now and the fact that we are alive and well.

Sometimes you do not want to focus on your breathing, that is just fine. You can do other distractions to help you calm some when having anxiety. First you can learn what trigers your anxiety to come on. When you know this then you are more in control over anxiety.

- Turn on some music and let your body and mind feel it

- Clean your house or room. Doing this has you focused on organizing and cleaning and making your living area comfie and nice

- Take a walk-for some this is very hard to do. But once you change environments you will notice the level of anxiety lower. Be mindful and notice the weather, the wind, trees and birds

I know this is alot for you to take in, but I felt this can bring a good start for you. Also using the Anxiety chatroom for members. Also listeners they are great. Good luck hunheart
