Thank you for being here. I can only imagine the pain that you are currently feeling. I am glad you are here and looking for support. Whether you are a family member of someone affected or have been affected yourself, we are here to listen. Your feelings are valid. You are important.

​If you have friends in Paris and do not know of their whereabouts (and are friends on facebook), try using facebook's safety check.

If there is an emergency, please look at this document for emergency numbers or call or call 0800406005.

If you are an Expat in Paris, please call your embassy if you have any questions or need help.

For those concerned about a US Citizen in Paris, please call 1-888-407-4747 (in US) or 202-501-4444 (overseas.)

If you are concerned for a British National, please call 0207 008 1500.

I'd also like to add that Google Hangouts has made International Calling to France free for both Android and iOS so if you have friends and family you are trying to reach and are unable to because of costs, I encourage you to try this route.

Also, if you are in Paris and are seeking shelter, look up the #PorteOuverte hashtag on Twitter. People are offering shelter to those needing help.

@Jake I've also found a website if searching the #PorteOuverte hashtag takes too long. It has the addresses of temporary shelters for those seeking shelter in Paris - http://porteouverte.eu/locations
