Forum Leader Onboarding Update - August 2023

We are very excited to share with you some updates to our forum leader onboarding to make the process easier and simpler for future leaders. Prepare yourselves for a very succinct update post!

So, what has changed exactly?

  • Applications for all forum roles can now be submitted through the same form to eliminate confusion and to promote simplicity
  • Training is now combined with the application so that onboarding times are reduced
  • Role requirements for Forum Supporter have been reduced from 50 upvotes/posts to 25 upvotes/posts to appeal to more users and to recognise potential
  • New leader announcements will now be posted once a week to avoid mass-tags and so we can celebrate all new leaders efficiently (find the new announcement thread here)
  • A new system to help you settle into your new role once you are onboarded which includes a set of updated guides and a buddy to support you on your journey with us.
