Coping with Emotional Challenges : 

How we cope with emotional challenges differ from person to person, for some it may be using coping skills, mindfulness, meditation and so on. These challenges can affect not only our physical health but our mental health also. The emotional challenges can be from being upset, fear of something, anger towards somethings and frustrations.

We can connect to our inner voice through gaining clarity, making wiser decision of things and living a more productive and fulfilled life style. To develop a stronger inner voice is by setting boundaries for ourselves. We listen to what our body and mind is saying to us.

Our mental well being is important to us all because this is how we live a stable life without worries. It influence how we think, feel and act and without this we are facing challenges for an unhealthy lifestyle.

@pamharley003 honestly I have learned to be patient with myself and to be pretty non-judgmental. I rely a lot on my logical mind, because I struggle with either being a bit overwhelmed or not having real access to an emotional response after a stressful event. I have learned to navigate through challenges a lot better then in my past though.

What are some ways you may cope with a stressful situation? Deep breathing techniques are very helpful but also supportive self-talk and telling myself "This will pass". Sometimes just a good walk outside helps to clear the mind.

To improve my mental health, I follow a routine which includes volunteering here, healthy eating and exercising and good self-care.

I find knowing when to take it easy is an important one. On difficult days, it can be hard to work on my to-do-list and get everything done without making things worse so I try to step back and just do what I can. Getting enough good sleep is important too.

I try really hard to understand my emotions but seem to have very little control over them. I can not recognize maybe two emotions and that limits my ability to understand what message my body is telling me. You are right if we don't address them they take a toll on my body and now I have medical issues right now. And I still neglect myself for others.
