The Root of Human Awareness

ThoughtBubbleExpess August 13th, 2022

How open are we to really exploring life?

What is Soul? When we pinch or hurt our physical bodies, we feel physical pain but what happens when we experience heartache? When we lose a loved one or experience rejection? Isn't that a different type of pain? What is it? And it's not the physical organ aching, it's something else. We must be more than what we see. What is it that hurts when we're heartbroken?

Interesting point and very hard to reply , it really does feel like a physical pain.And takes sometimes longer to heal .

Its also very hard because you know your loved one wouldn’t want you to suffer

I try to make something good out of a terrible experience and was able to help my friend when she went through bereavement.

Someone once said to me , Make your life a tribute to them . I like that x

Thanks for joining the discussion @mooboxer and I'm glad you found it interesting. Hope you're having a great day/ evening/ night.

Do you think the phrase “time heals everything” is true or does something like this happens when you heal over time?

I'm so sorry to hear about that. In what ways did you help your friend through bereavement?

Thanking you for passing on this phrase. It's beautiful and I will always remember it.

Well, when you consider that we are all ultimately 'energy' ...our energy suffers. I think it impacts us physically by making us tired too. Other's might not agree, but that's what I believe...

Thanks for joining the discussion @EmbStitcher33 and I really like the way you acknowledge it as energy because that's a unique perspective.

Would you like to tell more about why you consider it as energy and what's your definition of this energy please?

@ThoughtBubbleExpess

"Energy is defined as the capacity to perform work. According to the First Law of Thermodynamics, the total amount of energy in the universe is constant — incapable of being created or destroyed — and can only change from one form to another.

Common forms of energy include solid mass or as non-solid matter, such as heat, light, electrical, sound, gravitational, potential (stored energy) and kinetic (energy of motion). Quantum physics states that mass and energy are interchangeable, and consequently that mass is merely a manifestation of energy. This means that everything, including humans, is simply energy stored in mass particle form.

According to the theories associated with the universal energy field. all matter and psychological processes — thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and attitudes — are composed of energy. When applied to the human body, every atom, molecule, cell, tissue and body system is composed of energy that when superimposed on each other create what is known as the human energy field."

https://www.massagemag.com/energy-field-120110/ is the source and where you can read more about it. The next section is "The Human Energy Field".... scroll down.

Under the sub-heading "Vital Life Force" (scroll further down)

"From an energy medicine perspective, energy refers to subtle, imperceptible forces frequently described as a vital force or life force that flows through the body. Since all matter and psychological processes — thought, beliefs, emotions, and consciousness — are composed of energy, the physical body is therefore the manifestation or representation of an energy field made of superimposed dynamic segments of vibration.

Nothing rests. Everything vibrates. Everything, in some subtle way, moves."

This is just a couple quotes... there's lots more info out there. Just do a search on human energy, or ask, what kind of energy are humans made of? Something like that. That's what I did. This page is about energy healing, but it gives some good background. Hope that helps. 😊

@ThoughtBubbleExpess

I found another page that states that humans have 5 energy layers. Beyond the physical the other four make up our 'aura.' Read about it here: https://www.learnreligions.com/layers-of-human-energy-field-1729677 I especially like the first paragraph that says the unseen layers have to be treated when a person falls sick too. Very interesting...

Thank you for making me look deeper into this. I've listened, and learned in the past about energy, but I've never been asked this question. I've never written down any notes or memorized any of the science. So, this was a fun journey.

I like to explore energy w Eden Energy Method

since I’ve found Donna Eden and her family and academy I’m a lot more hopeful about energy.

I want to be able to “explore” life. However, at this point in my life I have passed the point of no return. I am “stuck” living a false front life until the moment I breathe my last breath. I don’t have the strength and/or courage to try anymore on my own. I am open to it but I have destroyed the key to the locks on the doors around my barricaded internal self.

Thanks for joining the discussion @Iamwhoiamwhoami , and I'm genuinely sorry you're feeling this way. Living as something that you're not, under a false pretence or not being able to express yourself is something that hurts real bad.

Sending much love to you and we're always here for you. You're not alone.

@ThoughtBubbleExpess for me after many heartbreaks in life I realized that many of the things I expected of other people or things to do just were not possible. So when I adjust my assumptions and expectations, I suffer less from disappointment when they do not come to pass.

Thanks for joining the discussion @soulsings and that's great advice. What do you think about this quote? Do you think it's true or is it related to numbing ourselves so that we don't get attached and get hurt later?

@ThoughtBubbleExpess well the meaning of suffering is different in different cultures.

If you want to discuss religious quotes, I am happy to discuss those in PMs.

Not until a voice was silenced, and the good times became sweet memories. Not until threads of grief became a gossamer bridge to the eternal harmony I believe in, have I been gifted tears of gratitude for a life shared. Whether an experience of death, separation, or rejection, I feel that part of myself that makes me so perfectly human makes me so perfectly vulnerable. That’s the place in my being where I find I am so authentically who I am meant to be. In that place of vulnerability is also my power to heal and grow.

*hugs* thank you so much for participating @soothingArrow47 and I'm so sorry for all the times you've shed tears and all the experiences you've faced. I'm glad that vulnerability helped you become who you are today and that it also became a strength to heal and grow. In what ways did vulnerability helped you grow and how do suggest we can become more vulnerable?

@ThoughtBubbleExpess

Thank you for asking about vulnerability, and how it has helped me grow and heal.

Being vulnerable for me, is opening the door to experience life with an open mind, gentle heart, and boundaries. Boundaries to protect my peace of mind, assure time for self care, moreover boundaries help me manage my awareness of where I am in the present time. If a yes is given, I’m giving my time. I’m going to be actively present in that yes and what it means to do my best. If a no is appropriate then it is given without guilt because it not the right time.

A gentle heart is about compassion, and understanding that we all have something that challenges us. In the case of grief, pain, loss, each of us will face them and each of us deserve to be treated with a gentle hearted touch of compassion and assuredness that we are worthy of it.

In keeping an open minded spirit and approach I become the student. A student who listens, questions and challenges my own thinking. I've learned to be the student opens the door for my self teacher to help me grow. And like any good student and teacher relationship listening is always key to learning.

Healing to me means becoming. I am who I am, until I am not. I’m always becoming. Always healing because life is life. It breaks me and makes me cry with tears of joy. Some days I fall off the cliff and other days I fly. Everyday there will always be choices. I choose to be vulnerable because in that place all things are possible.

Thank you @ThoughtBubbleExpress for being you and doing what you do.

This is a great post with a very deep topic. I believe that our brains do not make a big difference (if any at all) between the physical and emotional pain. The brain just registers "pain" = increase of stress hormones and that will affect the whole body from digestion to headaches, muscle pain etc.

"What is it that hurts when we're heartbroken?" I believe we suffer from the loss of our imagination how things could have been.

I think its about the loss that is programmed to be painful to us. Just like pain in the body prevents us from careless damaging the body and incentivize us to keep it healthy, emotional pain prevents us from getting disconnected from our parents, family, or tribe, that is necessary for our survival. When we lose something or somewhat valuable, we have to go through mourning. just like physical healing, its slow and uncomfortable.

the problem is people don't understand that and deal with emotional pain by escaping. our culture gives us plenty of ways to do it. shopping, gambling, drinking, eating, sex, workaholism, you get my drift. we accumulate that unresolved emotional pain and eventually it catches up with us in a form of a breakdown/meltdown, etc.

IMHO, YMMV, LOL...
