I have a sleep doctor helping me.
@GuardianAngel77
Agrees sleep is very important and people become more agitated and restless and feel weak if they don't get enough sleep.
Having a routine and bed time can help one very much .
@GuardianAngel77 I agree. Sleep is important. I usually try to unwind before I go to sleep to be relaxed and put down my worries.
If I do have a rough night sleeping, I find a nap helps me to recover and cope.
Mindfulness and Meditation seems to help me be able to relax and recharge.

Great topic. Good sleep (not just sleep) allows the body and mind to recover from daily work. If we do not sleep well because we are overthinking stuff our brain uses to much energy at night (usually brain switches to reduces energy consumption during "good" sleeping hours). This is the energy we lack in the morning. What helps me is:
1. Meditation (love meditation) - 2. Watching comedy or fun videos (which really make me laugh) - 3. Sleep music - 4. Making sure that I am not exhausted - 5. Not eating high glucose food - 6. No coffee 6 hours before sleep (to mention a few things).

I loved what you shared. ππππ!!!
I had absolutely terrible insomnia from about 7 to 35. I thought it would never go away. It was from a trauma that occurred during the night. It took me years to understand. Now I sleep pretty well. However my husband does not and it is because he just wont follow the well documented rules for good sleep. The biggest one for me was Dont Look At Your Clock. Once you look at your clock and become upset that youre not sleeping, youve just released a bunch of chemicals into your body that further keep you awake. Number 2. Once 45 minutes pass and youre not asleep, get up!!! You must only read. Dont work on a project. Dont look at anything with a screen. Just read. . ONLY when you begin to feel drowsy, go back to bed.
@GuardianAngel77 Very imp topic this . I think in today's day and age people kind of underestimate the imp of good sleep . I have had my share of problems with sleep . I have had numerous encounters with 'sleep paralysis' . Thankfully these days my meds come in handy and they aid in me sleeping well .
@calmsoulmeet I agree that in this stressful world getting enough sleep can be a challenge.
I had been having a lot of trouble sleeping, and my girlfriend was having even more trouble sleeping. I looked up some articles and found one that said sleeping with your arms around a pillow can make you sleep better. I decided to try it, and sometimes, not always, it helps.
@Offmytrack I tried sleeping on left side but right side seems to be better. Pillow between legs is more comfortable
