Hi Pond. I wonder if you meant 3 separate flags - red ones, green ones and beige ones, and that this is a post about things to look out for when dating?

If that is the case, I think that what is important to a person in dating is a very personal thing. We all have different needs, so we will have different ideas about what is important. I think this is a thing to be celebrated.

I like to be not too quick to judge someone. Yes, there will be some things that I know just won't work with me, so there is no point in continuing. But it's also possible to see something that initially seems to be a problem, that turns out to be a misunderstanding. I also think you are unlikely to find someone who has only green flags and no red ones. We're all a bit of a mixture of imperfections.

I think the thing is to honest with yourself about what will work for you. And take your time. There's no need to rush, either to find your perfect green flags, or reject the red flags. Get to know people, just for the sake of getting to know variety. I find the uniqueness of everyone quite special.

Best wishes.

Since no one else is answering I will answer.

  • One of my red flags are people who are dishonest.
  • A beige flag is someone who has a sense of humour.
  • And a green flag is someone who is kind and loving.

Red flag: lack of curiosity (doesn't ask questions about me or the World in general), lack of self-awareness (doesn't do what they say or do the opposite), use manipulative tactics (praising -I personally hate this-), 'flirting'...), lack of authenticity, fake people or people who wear a mask, uncaring individuals (kindness isn't important for me, caring is), incapable to commit, lack of integrity

Beige flag: I am not sure to have any 😂.

Green flag: the exact opposite of Red flag. Caring, curious, self-aware, authentic, committed, honest.

I apply those in all type of relationships.

I am surprised no one seems to have understood your question. Maybe this concept isn't well known on 7Cups, even though is a key component of mental health education 🤔.
