@happy900 I just wanted to have a nice place to chat

Thank you for creating this space!

I've been feeling overly exhausted from work these days and is not looking forward to the next three weeks. Although it's nice to be earning more for overtime hours, it is quite tiring. Especially when it feels like I'm doing all the work, while my teammates only do the minimal that they are "required" to do.

I'm glad I have 7 Cups to vent, but it'll be nice if I can voice out my concerns at work. It's difficult to do so because as the person with the least seniority and youngest in age, what I say had backfired before and it got me in trouble. Those people only thought I was being arrogant, bossy, and intended to hurt their feelings. When I was only being honest, maybe a bit blunt, and with good intentions.

I enjoy my work, other than my teammates make me feel like my work is not appreciated and that they aren't really helping out with the many tasks; the nurses and doctors I work with all get along with me and they would recognize my efforts. It is these nurses, doctors, and the fact that I enjoy my work that I'm staying, even when I'm not a permanent staff and only as a vacation relief person.

Now it feels like I've said too much. Sorry, I can go on and on when it comes to talking about my work and my teammates. It feels better when I share with others, even if I can't say anything at work to the Supervisor or Manager, talking about it in 7 Cups helps gets things off my mind temporarily.

Thank you for listening (reading this far)~

It always makes me feel better when I can vent to someone don’t feel bad about a long posts. Work situations like that can be very stressful on you but I’m glad you enjoy what you do that’s something at least.

@Jaeteuk So sorry to hear this.

Communication can be hard at times.

But no communication at all, is not healthy.

Just do the best you can, when talking with others.

If something is on your mind, then let them know this.

The point here is open communication, that is the key.

As the old saying goes "People are not mind readers."

People can not help others, unless they know, what is on the other persons mind or if something is wrong, what to do to help them, unless the person communicates this or tells them, what is on there mind.

I hope this is somewhat helpful.

The problem is, there is a new addition to the team (joined us last October). In her training, she wasn't told to complete certain tasks that the previous colleague had done. She was only trained to do her main tasks for the shift, and no other tasks to help the rest of the team out. So, if I ask her to help out or tell a Supervisor or Manager, she could easily say, "Well, it wasn't part of my training and it's not part of my duties". To me though, I think that's it's logical to help each other out when our own tasks are finished. We are a team, and our work are closely related. What I don't like about her though, is she would brag that she did this and that, when it's part of the teamwork. She makes it sound like she's doing extra work because I didn't do my job properly.

Imagine this: You are someone who pick items off shelves on a daily basis, wouldn't you wonder how those shelves get replenished? Wouldn't you feel that because you're the person emptying those shelves, that you should replenish it too? Not only to get enough for the quantity that you need, but to fully stock the shelves as well?

It's not like she doesn't know where the stock is to replenish either. If she didn't know, then that can be forgiven. But, to think that she has nothing to do with it, I don't think that's right. It's not logical. There are certain items that I replenish whenever I'm at work. I was off for 4 days the past week (Monday - Thursday), and when I went to work on Friday, I could tell that those items had not been replenished during the days I was off because the boxes that had the product in it had not been moved, nor the quantity in them lessened since I last touched it.

It's not like I don't want to say anything to her, but I can imagine what she would say and everything will just backfire or sound like I'm complaining. I don't mind restocking the shelves, but I would appreciate it if I got some help. It's not exactly in my job description too, but with the heart and mind of working in a team, I feel it's still part of my responsibility to help out. Or is that just wishful thinking?~

Now I am.. but getting ready for work. Long day today, starting an hour earlier and as usual, probably would need to stay for more overtime. How are you feeling today?~
