Positive Self-Talk ideas

How are you doing today?
Today, we are going to discuss a little bit about self-talk and how we can use it to improve our lives. Self-talk is the way you talk to yourself. You can also think of it as your inner voice. You might not be aware that you're doing it, but this inner voice combines conscious thoughts with inbuilt beliefs and biases to create an internal monologue that you tell yourself throughout the day.

Here is a chart with some examples of how you can change negative self-talk into positive! (similar to a growth mindset)
Think about it: What kind of messages do you give yourself? Are you telling yourself encouraging, positive things, or are you constantly criticizing yourself or putting yourself down in your mind? Try to think of at least ONE positive thing that you can tell yourself this week. Write it on your hand, on a sticky note, or on your bathroom mirror, and remember that YOU are valuable. You have the power to change your inner dialogue.

I agree that positive self-talk does improve my mood and brings light into the dark room. Even if it's just momentarily or just a crack of light, the very instant of the positive self-talk helps clear my mind. It's like applying positive psychology into every negative situation or trail of thought and making it into a positive.
In my case, negative thoughts often come up automatically, but once the instance has passed, and there's a time where I recall the incident, I will often think of it in a more neutral and positive way. The inner voice doesn't surface until after something has happened and I've given it more thought. Exploring the different perspectives of the situation.

giving messages to yourself in the form of self-talk is a coping skill and a mindfulness skill for many people suffering with mental illness of any kind or form.

one go-to phrase i have for mindfulness is "life is a journey of lessons that you learn from, instead of repeating, so don't overthink mistakes! instead, make the best of the now and focus on positivity!"
The awareness of one's own thoughts. Awareness that we are not the mind.
Those who identify with the mind, believe the thoughts that come from the mind. When was the last time that the mind was correct about the future? A terrible master, but the mind can be a great servant.
I'm doing fine. I had a bit of self doubt, in having a regular day. It seems that I let negative thoughts like, "I can't do it," to "I don't think I can, so my parents probably know how to" live my life and relationships.
If I were to take a positive inner thought from the right side of the chart, it would be, I trust myself to succeed. I really do.
I was afraid to sky dive, and everyone I know said, I need skills to learn. But then, I saw this post, I can do anything, by myself. Wish me luck
