Bio
Hi! I'm Max. I love supporting people through the difficult times in their lives. There's zero judgment with what you're experiencing. I've spent about a decade navigating the mental health care system and after meeting several thousand people doing the same thing, I've become very knowledgeable about the types of psychiatric struggles people deal with.
I can't accept requests from everyone. I get more than I can handle and if I don't respond to you in a reasonable amount of time, please try more listeners there are plenty of awesome people on this website! :)
A few notes about 7 cups: Listeners can be any average Joe and are not professionals. I am an expert by experience with mental health and have training in listening but I am not the norm! None of us on here can tell you what to do or give you advice or fix your problems simply by talking to you. We wish we could but the reality of the situation is that we're unfortunately not that superhuman...yet. Also, if you're suicidal, listeners on this website are required to refer you to suicide.org and end the conversation. It sucks that there is a rule about this but recent innovation HAS created a TRUE safe space for people to discuss suicidal thoughts in the form of suicide chatlines:

That being said I'd love to help you out if you need it! :) I'm also your go to person if you've been traumatized in a mental hospital, by the troubled teen industry, or traumatized in any sort of way.
I am especially knowledgeable about self-harm, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, PTSD/CPTSD, traumatic experiences, child abuse, the troubled teen industry, sexual violence, chronic pain, disabilities, Lyme and other tick borne diseases and chronic illnesses, bullying and gender dysphoria as well as transgender, gender-nonconforming, and nonbinary issues. Kink and queer friendly.
No matter what you're going through, I'm open to talking about anything. You can tell me anything, as long ago I realized that it is not my place to judge anyone. My job is to simply to show you compassion and be nonjudgemental and understanding of your situation. Over my years as a listener on here I have talked to hundreds of people, and I have been amazed by the strength, courage, and goodness inside of them. By talking to you, it's making me a better person, so don't be afraid to reach out!
In case you're wondering: I'm not male even though my name is Max. In terms of experience, I've had years of experience on this website and I've also got experience working on a suicide hotline (though I cannot talk to you about suicide on here because it's against the rules, I will however find you a local suicide hotline to contact if you are need of assistance).
Also, please understand that I'm not allowed to give you advice. However I'm more than happy to tell you about resources for coping and if you're in the united states I know of resources that provide support for certain issues you may be experiencing.
I felt heard and understood, i felt like i finally found someone who completely understands the entire spectrum of chronic pain
