New Intern with 7cups! Wooo!!!! :D
As a young student, I was accustomed to hearing what I could not do, where I should be fitting in educationally, and what I probably would not be able to do regardless of whether any additional resources were provided. Being fortunate to have a support system outside of the school system in my early years, I was constantly being challenged to develop strategies to overcome my learning weaknesses and to recognize and maximize my strengths. My own disabilities and the obstacles that I have encountered throughout my education provided me with the insight of the importance of teaching all individuals to their strengths and to help them find ways to leverage those strengths in other areas of their lives, and what true potential is at stake when not actualized in practice.
