How can I manage and organise my work and actually stick to it, without letting things come in the way?

The best solution to this problem for me was a planner. I don't use the high tech ones that come on computers, just a regular planner. Then I take the time at the beginning of the week to actually write in my planner, and I color code all the stuff I need to go (Ex, blue for work, green for chores and black for occasional activities such as Doctors visits, etc). From there I can plan my day and if I have a special project due, I can set the time aside for it. If I have to write I try to devote about two hours of writing time uninterrupted. That means, no internet, no socializing until those two hours are up. If you plan your time right you can get most of the stuff you need done, but it takes practice, and in my case, a planner and multi colored pens.

When someone is disciplined and has self control, they do better. Perhaps it's best to set goals and keep to strict schedules. That has always worked for me.

Set a schedule. And reward yourself when you finish a certain amount of task. If your motivation for the reward is big, then the chances of being distracted by other things might lessen.

Make a strict schedule, or even buy a planner and make sure that you do everything that you have planned for that day. Make this an habit and eventually it won't become an issue! Best of luck!

This can be overwhelming, but you can start by planning. Try making a list, and planning it and sorting it out and prioritizing your needs can put you on the right track.

I'm possibly the worst person to be advising someone on time management but I believe the best thing you can do is to set small easy tasks for yourself and reward yourself with a song or some chocolate or a chat with a friend when you finish your task. Eventually, these tasks will add up and you'll complete your work easier.

I find colour coding things works really well! When I'm at work, I find I can get distracted really easily by different tasks, and sometimes priority tasks don't get done in time. I colour code things instead, so I know what is urgent and what isn't. Also having a list next to you with your tasks can sometimes prevent people trying to give you more work, and helps when you try to explain that although you would love to help, you just have too much work to do.

Whenever a person wants to accomplish a specific goal, seeing themselves a success at that goal is critical. If you want to manage and organize your work, start by picturing what it will look like when everything is managed and organized the way you wish. Then work backwards, trying to see what to do to make that happen. Good luck!!
