There can be a lot of reasons why you are having trouble sleeping, like being on an electronic device too soon before going to sleep, eating too soon before going to sleep, having a lot of stress and anxiety, and a lot of other stuff. Some things you can do are putting your phone away an hour before your bedtime, not eating two hours after bedtime, talking about any stress you may have, and having a dark/quiet room (although some gentle music might help). If these things don't help, you might want to talk to your doctor! Hope this helps!

Sometimes I find that I cant sleep through the night because I have not done enough to relax before I go to bed. So try to set some time aside to really switch off completely, especially if you are feeling stressed, anxious or worried. Try to get in tune with you body and breath if only for a few minutes. Switch off the TV or Internet or any distractions which keep the mind engaged. If you cant do this easily, try putting on some relaxing music in the background while you try to sleep, set a time so it turns off after a period of time, or you may find you wake up again. Also eating the right foods, or not eating food before bed will help with digestion and sleep.

Do some exercise before you sleep, it helps a lot. Also, don't drink caffeine after 7 and if you're one for mid night deep thoughts, stick a glow in the dark star above the bed on the ceiling to help you focus on the good things

As someone with insomnia, I can relate to this prompt. The core of the issue could be stress-related (a lot on your mind causing you to wake up at night) or the issue could be physically related (sleep apnea, narcolepsy, etc). I have sleep apnea, insomnia, and generalized anxiety disorder so I can relate to all of these. It is good to rule out if it is physical by seeing your doctor and make sure it isn't caused by a sleep disorder. If not that, then you can help with the stress side by simple habits done on a daily basis such as a relaxing wind-down routine.
