Sleeping too much can be an indicator of stress in your life - maybe it's time to think about some of the things making you unhappy - is it exam stress? Work stress, or home stress? Whatever it is, sleeping too much, while usually pretty good for your health, should be a little flag to what's going on in your mind.

Poor quality of sleep could be the culprit, what helps me improve my sleep is a mindfulness/ relaxation meditation right before bed and no looking at any kind of screen ( phone, tv, iPad etc) before bed. It could mean you are going through a sad moment. There maybe a medical reason and a doctor would be able to pinpoint that.

Sometimes, sleeping too much happens because we are overworking ourselves. School, work, and everyday life can just be exhausting! We can also get really tired if we're feeling depressed or anxious, so it's important to keep an eye out for those warning signs of possible mental health challenges!

Firstly, maybe you are actually really tired. In that case sleep helps you to recover faster.
If that's not the case, long periods of sleeping is known to be as a defense mechanism. If you experience anxiety, stress, hopelessness etc. - we tend to sleep more. At that moment it helps you to get through the day with out having to feel more stress, but in the long run it won't be as effective.

you might feel that you don't have anything to do. I'd suggest get a hobby and wake up in the morning not late.

Sleeping too much can be for many reasons. You may be catching up on missed sleep, you could be depressed or unwell. I would suggest going to visit your doctor to discuss this, and so they can do some blood tests to rule out any medical reason. You can also try getting yourself into a routine - go to bed at a set time and and get up at a set time each day to train yourself to sleep bettef

Excessive sleeping can mean a lot of things, so it's best to narrow it down - are you not sleeping enough at night, and end up sleeping throughout the day? Or, do you sleep to avoid feelings that you're having? There are endless possibilities, but I really recommend speaking to your doctor.

It could mean you're depressed, or it could mean there is something physically wrong with you that you'd need to see a doctor about, or it could be because of new medications you're on, It's hard to know for sure, so it is usually best to go and see a doctor about it if you are able to.
