Because your nerves can feel the temperature. They react to cold, so usually when the temperature is low they start to itch. It's nothing dangerous. And it goes away after a while. I had the same thing :)

After a while, your body starts to heal and part of that creates an itching sensation as the skin begins the healing process.

it is just a part of the healing process. Once they heal completely then the itching should go away.

Because they haven't completely healed and you still need to give them some time. Try to put some scar cream on there!

I have two types of scars... flat ones and keloid (raised up) ones. They take a long time to heal for me. I've read that scarring disrupts the nerves of the skin for some reason, and that causes more itching. I'd encourage someone to talk with their physician to see about they why issue and if there is a solution if it is a frequent thing.

This means that they are healing. Mostly because blood is still rushing to try to heal that area. More cells are being made, making it itch.

The itching sensation is from the chemicals in your body healing the skin around the wound. They will itch until they heal almost entirely.

Scars itch because you seem to be remembering the times they were healing. They remind you of the dark past that you don't want to go back to. Your scars are a reminder of how low you felt but how you've grown from them.
