Sometimes, we find comfort the things we habitually do. Maybe being unable to find a way to deal with your problems is because you don't give it the chance to. If we try new things with a negative way of thinking, nothing really happens. Maybe being a little more positive can help :)

Maybe by talking about them you are able to bring them to the surface. Maybe you are scared to face them yourself. You might be scared people you know will judge you. So you find someone that wont judge you. And will listen and help.

Try finding different perspectives, talk to different people they will give you differing opinions. In the long run it will do you good. You will learn things about yourself, listen to those people. Even if you don't take their advice just acknowledge what they are saying. It will help you tremendously.

One of the main reasons that we fall into bad habits or unhealthy behaviors to deal with issues is because often times those habits or behaviors provide immediate release. They make you feel better the moment you do them. You also are so used to doing them that you don't feel like looking for another solution because as unhealthy as they may be, they work for you. But them working isn't the same as them being good for you, or helpful in the longrun
