The Butterfly Project is a project created to help those who want to stop self-harming. The self-harmer draws butterflies on the areas they would normally harm, and is encouraged to name them after friends and family members. When the self-harmer hurts themselves, one of the butterflies dies. The goal is to keep all of the butterflies alive (refrain from harming themselves until the marker fades away).

The Butterfly Project is aimed for people struggling with self harm. Basically, when you feel the urge to cut/harm yourself, you draw a butterfly/butterflies somewhere on your body, anywhere you like, and name it/them after someone you care about and the butterfly must fade naturally (no washing it off) if you harm yourself before the butterfly fades, you kill them butterfly. The butterfly means more if someone you care about draws it for you.

The Butterfly Project is a great technique for self-harmers. Instead of cutting, you draw a butterfly on the place you wish to cut. You usually name it after someone you care for and if you cut, the butterfly dies.

Its a project that helps people stop self-harming. You take a pen or marker and draw a butterfly on where you want to cut/self-harm. Either you can draw them or someone else can. When you want to hurt yourself again, draw anothet butterfly. Remember, no scrubbing them off (let them fade naturally) and don't self-harm when they are drawn. Self-harming "kills" all of them.

The Butterfly Project is when you or someone draws butterflies on your wrists, legs, stomach, ect.
Each butterfly represents someone who you care about and/or someone who cares about you. So if you selfharm, you hurt that person. And that's not good to do. The rules are you can't wash them off. They have to come off naturally.
Remember when a person draws a butterfly on you it's extra special. So take good care of it!
