I've stopped self-harming, but I have existing wounds. What should I do without telling anyone?

Congrats on stopping! :) There are oils and other treatments which can reduce the appearance of scars so buying something like that might be beneficial.

Take care of yourself! It's amazing that you stopped harming yourself, now start taking care instead. You can try to put some oil on it, then the scars will fade over time.

your on your way to happiness now you have been able to stop self harming. don't hide away. Live your life if anyone asks quistions you can answer or just get away from the situation but either way you can walk away knowing you have over come whatever it is you have been dealing with

Glad to hear you are back on track and feeling better of yourself. It is alright if you don't want to share it with other right now. For now you could wear full sleeves or cover with some makeup. However, do share your feelings with someone trustworthy, when you are feeling more comfortable.

It depends how the wounds are! If they're early scabs or something along the same line, then I suggest you should cover them with clothing, however, if it's markings on your skin, you could cover them with make-up or just lighten them with a mix of lemon (1part) and water (3parts) - Only do this if it's painless and quite well healed!!

If you have stopped self harming, I don't see any reason as to why you can't tell anyone. You should tell your loved ones so that they can encourage and help you through your recovery.

Sharing helps others and its therapeutic for you.
