I've stopped self-harming, but I have existing wounds. What should I do without telling anyone?

If you're worried about anyone knowing, you could always wear some sort of clothing overtop of it. Long sleeves, pants, long shorts -- Anything that would keep the wounds covered until they heal. Other options might be bracelets, or perhaps tying a bandana on your arm. If push comes to shove, you could place a bandage on it, and say that you fell, or something like that, as we're not infallible, and injuries are common enough to not raise suspicion. Also, if they're healed, you can try concealer, or even tattoo hiding foundation, as it will take all of the color out of it. Sure it's not good to hide if you're in pain, but sometimes hiding the marks is a lot easier than explaining everything, and making people uncomfortable.

Remind yourself that every wound and scar you have is proof that you have overcome obstacles in life that have helped shape who you are today. Do not be ashamed of having a past, and do not let anyone make you feel like you are somehow less because of those wounds. You do not owe them an explanation, nor do you owe them anything else and I hope that you know that overcoming self-harming takes a lot of courage and strength and that is something you should not feel the need to hide.

Depending on where they are tattoos would be your best bet. I have scars from cutting on my thighs and I embrace them. I think of them as battle scars. I fought for my life and I have the scars to prove it.

You can try cream/oitment for scars, they work pretty good (you can get it in every drug store)! it won't make invisible or erase them but will make them less visible, though it'll take some time and cream. While putting it on gently massage the scars. If the wounds are pretty new wait with the cream until they're completely closed and with no scabs. Also make up excuses before going out anywhere so you're not too nervous if asked and wear clothes over the scars. I hoped I helped you or maybe someone alse with that problem despite answering so late :) Take care :)

Should you prefer to hide it, there are several means. You can use clothing like a scarf or a long sleeved shirt if you are comfortable with that or you can use a strong foundation like the ones you can use to hide tattoos.

Well I definitely think that you should be confident despite anything that you've done, you should be proud that you have powered through self harming, and turning your life around. Be proud of yourself, and be you.

If you feel uncomfortable with people seeing them, cover them up with long sleeves, makeup or bracelets until they heal. Then never cut again. It's really not worth it.

I have scars from doing what I used to do, but I heard that cocoa butter helps along with lotion/creams that help with scarring
