There is no way to get rid of self-harm scars - or any scars. You could try to find some sort of cream, but it's often very expensive and doesn't do very much unless you apply it right at the beginning stages of a scar. Later in life you may look back on those scars and see them as battle scars of a battle you won.

I think it's important to consider why you want to get rid of self-harm scars. The reasons are as varied as the individual circumstances that bring people to self-harm in the first place. As far as I know, the options for scar removal/fading are as follows: products containing vitamin E, coco butter lotion, scar removal creams, scar removal sheets that lay directly on the skin, and laser removal. It would be a good idea to consult a doctor to find out what the best option for you might be as the treatments vary in success depending on type and severity of scar.

Bio oil or tissue oil really helps, but you have to stick at it. Rub it in every day and don't expect to see results straight away. But if you give it time, it really does help.

While time is the best way to let it heal, oils and creams can help the process along. If you really need to hide scars quickly, a bit of make up should do the trick.

Except for keloid scars, most scars will fade on their own even without treatment. Of course, Cryotherapy can be used if need be.

Well, you could try honey, lemon, aloe vera gel, or tea tree oil. Continuous applications of said items worked for me. Other than that, you could always use a big fluffy sweater and an awesome cover story.

In my opinion self harm scars are not something to be ashamed of. I have many self harm scars on my arms and they are a constant reminder to me that I am a strong person and conquered whatever it was that was thrown my way. Sure other people look at them like a sign of weakness or have called me a freak and self absorbed person for them, but they will never know how strong I am and how much I went through just to be there.
