anything that involves physical pain could count as self-harm if it's purpose is to relieve you from emotional pain. with that being said the most important thing is your health so if you're going through self-harm talk to someone, whether it's a parent, 7 cups listener or a therapist!

I would say it is. Any form of hurting yourself on purpose counts as self-harm. What makes you do that? Is for the lack of control over something in your life?
It's ok. There are many other people who has their own reasons to self-harm. Know that self-harm it's the symptom of something else.

Anything that you do intentionally on multiple occasions to hurt yourself is considered self-harm. It's important that you stop before you get started. Once you do it, you will become addicted and it will seriously damage your health.

Burning yourself is not okay! Of course, that is considered self-harm. Pouring chemicals onto your body is very damaging. There are so many things to look forward to in life. Life is a bumpy road, but it's so much better when you go through it with somebody. Call out for help! Let someone know what you're going through.

If it's intentional, yes. Anything that you do to hurt yourself physically or emotionally while in pain can qualify as self-harm (in my opinion). If I turn on a song that I know makes me feel worse, I would count that as self harm. Just like picking at old scabs for the purpose of hurting yourself falls under self-harm, so does burnint yourself with acid. We have a large subcommunity of people who are willing to stand by you as you overcome self-harm. There are many other ways to cope, so consider those before hurting yourself. You're a beautiful individual and deserve everything in the world. :)
