The physical sensations associated with a panic attack are so unpleasant that an all-encompassing feeling of fear arises - which in turn amplifies the bodily reactions even more. It is difficult to forget the fear that has arisen, and it is natural that in the future heart palpitations, the feeling of tension, and other signs accompanying anxiety are closely monitored. The slightest sign seems extremely dangerous and perpetuates the fear that the terrible experience will happen again, this time perhaps with more tragic consequences, amplifying the physical discomfort. A so-called vicious circle is created. If panic attacks have just occurred, so-called psychoeducation is often enough to get rid of them.
